And a lot less than Broward or Dade counties at the time. The only strange thing was that quite a few pumps were bagged with yellow covers. Either they'd run out of gas from the holiday traffic or because of the holidays they had not gotten their regular supplies. Luckily, there were enough other pumps open and available so that we didn't have to wait in line.

They have a hot food grab and go station and a roller grill very convenient. Breakfast sandwich, hash brown and coffee deal for $4, or buy a hot dog get a 2nd one for a dollar. I purchased a slice of pepperoni Pizza was not bad. Not sure if all RaceTrac are the same but this one also had an ice cream station Swirl World. They had several flavors to choose from and lots of toppings to add on. Grab a krispy cream donut and coffee as there was also a coffee Bar area. Wawa has some competition!. I was really surprised and will be looking out for more Race Tracs in the area on my next road trip.

If your self checkout is going to allow restricted items purchases I would alert employees to help instead of standing around and they actually directed me to the self checkout I didn't want to use it because of the restricted items I had . I got lost on my way to St. Augustine (even though it's clearly marked on the highway-I know) and took a detour after visiting the Harley Davidson jamboree. A bright green sign luring me in with "Brown Rice Sushi Now Available" caught my attention and my little Scooby Doo ears perked up and I was hooked. I walked in, got some decent sushi, peeked at the pate (which according to my memory, was pretty good) and reminisced living in the south and loving cooking at home because of all the awesome finds I had at the local Publix. I bought a variety of junk foods to keep me fueled on my trip to St. Augustine and the check out counter just blew my mind! People in Florida may be used to seeing an awesome personalized checkout screen for them and the cashier but I'm not and I was blown away by the technology. Score 1 for Florida, 0 for California....

Their restrooms are clean, accessible, and spacious. Each is exactly the same as a Publix "family restroom", which makes it bizarrely inefficient that neither is marked as such.
