Absolutely worst ever! They took job knowing they wouldn't meet deadline. Had delivered from California week b4 my arrival 50 minutes from company in Durango. Had to drive to Durango to one pallet of 5 being delivered. My contacts and I both spoke w company b4 my arrival. One arriving the manager old man! Acted like he knew nothing of the situation, but his Asian coworker did. He went on to explain I wasnt a priority and he wasnt gonna deliver afyer they failed to deliver day that was scheduled. We have used RAC in Silverton since they took over from Rio Grande Motorway, maybe 45 years? With the mine closed since '91, service has been once a week. We received reasonable service, sometimes excellent, sometimes poor. The drivers the same, now in 2022, turn over is problematic. I have seen nearly every one of our shipments arrive and with few exceptions, everything has been acceptable. Now we'll see how the new CCFS does in their place. read more

If they had lower stars, I'd go there! Been sitting on a pallet of merchandise at their terminal for over a week now and lots of it is Christmas stuff that needs shipped. Worse trucking company I've dealt with in my 41+ years of being in the furniture biz. read more

Totally unacceptable, unprofessional business that makes their problems your problem. I paid $80 for this light exposure unit (for silk screen printmaking) to be delivered to a residential address. I am curious what this extra charge was for? Today, my wife and a man smaller than her (the delivery driver), struggled getting 160lbs of crated goods off the back of a truck that had no lift gate and no dolly. From there they had 150 feet of loose gravel driveway on a 7% grade to navigate to get the crate up to the house. This is totally unacceptable. My wife strained her back doing this and now has to go into work for a night shift at the emergency room. RAC transport was the last carrier to bring this to our house. While they should have had the wherewithal to recognize a residential address within their delivery they did not accommodate. When the driver pointed out to his boss the freight was on a truck without a lift-gate and no dolly, the response according to the driver "it's not my problem". Buddy, it is your problem. How hard is it for a shipping company to recognize a residential address? Have you folks ever heard of Google? It is an amazing tool that would have shown you what you were up against. They even have arial view maps! Genius! So, what did we pay an extra $80 for? My wife's injured back? My damaged driveway? My skyrocketing blood pressure? The potential to have damaged equipment delivered because it wasn't the freight carrier's problem? I am utterly confused to why I have to pay extra for all this malarkey. While I appreciate the effort on your part to facilitate me through this purchase I also feel I should reimbursed the $80 for the amount of time and effort my wife had endure trying to remedy a problem compounded by multiple fallacies from shipping and receiving of Nevertheless and the sheer audacity of the freight carrier used to deliver the light table. As it stands, I do not feel I can recommend RAC Transport for any of my professional friends within the field of printmaking. You get charged for your grief and injury while the manager sits in his office saying "not my problem". This isn't my first round with RAC as I used to work for two years on a dock they delivered to almost daily. Very nice drivers and accommodating, but the fact they never, and I mean NEVER had their own dollies, or on multiple occasions didn't have a lift gate and everyone capable of pulling product off the back of a truck bed with a 5' height, multiple injuries were the norm. Steer clear of this business if you can. Their unreliable and unprofessional management should be canned. They honestly don't care about their customer even when they are paid. read more

Terrible company. If you have any other options then take it. Better off driving to wherever your product is and picking it up yourself; it will be cheaper and less of a headache. They lied about it being out for delivery multiple times. They said driver didn't have a cell phone. After 3 weeks we sent a person to Durango to pick up. Found it had been uncrated and pieces were throughout the loading dock. The sink was damaged in multiple places. We refused delivery and manufacturer was appaled and sent pictures of the crating process for this commercial sink. So many problems. read more

I wish I could rate this company a no star. A slug could run a business better. They never delivered a new couch we ordered from amazon. When we called they were defiant and insulting and said they would deliver the couch the next week. At least we were relieved that they had the couch! So they finally arrive at our house and there's one package left in the back of the truck. I hop in to inspect it (since it's a month late) and low and behold- it's NOT our order! Doesn't even have our name on it. And it was just like "oop, well, sorry" and there's been no follow up at all. Merry Christmas RAC. read more

Truly the most UNPROFESSIONAL company I have ever had contact with. And the other reviewer is correct--they make their problems and unprofessionalism as if it's your problem. They could care less about how poorly they do things, how long your packages sit at their facility, whether they have decent drivers, how they sound on the phone. And if you are frustrated with their poor service, they threaten to hang up on you. They also could care LESS if they "dump" your boxes at your house rather than take the time to "deliver" them unscathed. RUN from RAC in Durango!!! read more

This company is awful. They do everything in their power to not deliver your freight and then you get frustrated and go pick it up and they still get paid even though they did not deliver. One time I went to the terminal because they did not know when they could get to me and I found my $3000 worth of batteries sitting in the middle of the parking lot waiting to get run over. Currently they have a delivery for me that has been at the terminal a week and no call about delivery. I just called and they said they don't know when they could deliver and would let me know. Furniture ordered for 3rd floor apartment. Delivery driver would not take the 175 lb item up any stairs. He was very rude and unfriendly! Do not use them!!! read more
