just avoid this guy. Poor quality work, lies frequently, loses your components. had a carburetor overhauled by him , said it was flow benched, the carb would not run the engine. said it was going to be a one week turnaround and took four. we closed the low-speed jet entirely, and we could get the engine to fire off and barely idle. Obviously, there was an issue. We ended up having to buy a new carburetor and sending the original back in as a core. I took all of his components out that he installed, and shipped them back to him in a box with the invoice he sent. after arguing back-and-forth for several days, and threatening comments from him, I simply blocked his number. I have a maintenance facility, and cannot have shotty work coming to me. I typically use aircraft accessories of Oklahoma after this experience. Which is a shame, because Bob actually came highly recommended. I had a customer send in a fuel pump, and he lost it. Acknowledged receiving it, then said he was waiting on parts, then said he shipped it back out, but could not prove a shipping label or delivery notification or any paperwork. read more

HORRIBLE... I wish I never gave this guy (BOB) my carburetor to overhaul. He's had it two and a half months, every time I call him he say's "next week for sure" then when next week comes he say's "for sure this week" then the same old story, now this week he said he'd call me the next day to come and get it, but he never called, and when I call him, he say's "who are you again" and then another long story about parts and polish, and he asked me for my phone number and name again, he hasn't a clue of who I am or what carb I left for repairs, all I get from him is excuses, and after two and a half months I'm no closer to getting my carb back than the day I dropped it off. I just tried calling him again (10th time sense he's had it) and this time no answer, he doesn't even have an answering machine! Look at his reviews, all bad, think about that before you send him anything, now I'm calling my lawyer. read more

I sent a set of older Bendix Scintilla Magnetos to Bob and he assured he would be able to fix them. Well AFTER 4 MONTHS and calling once a week, I finally got him to send them back and he never told me how much or asked "how do you wanna pay?" and it didn't sound like he had done anything to them. They finally arrived and it was C.O.D. for over $600! Never communicated to me, I had to call him and he was always very kurt. For this I WILL NEVER do business with him again! AVOID at all costs! after being a good customer for many years i sent my champ carburetor in for repair. usually takes 5 days, i called him each week for 2 months and was told it would be done soon each time. after 2 months i asked for him to return it which he did will a bill for $258. he knew i was going to have to have the job done elsewhere, and still chose to install new gaskets for $80...which are cheap gaskets, which of course would never be re-used, and according to the new shop are not even legal gaskets at twice the going rate. this is the guy who goes around giving FAA seminars. read more
