Horrifying. Not even the most basic COVID precautions taken, despite local bylaws requiring face coverings in public indoor settings. Hand sanitizer? Plexiglass? Of course not. That would be too conventional. Storefront looks like an actual earthquake hit it and the owner's response was to leave everything in heaps and kick their way through to get to the door. Bits of rubbish mixed into heaps. There might be shelves under there somewhere, but I could not see them. I sincerely doubt that the place would pass a fire inspection. The equipment I rented was non-functional due to wear, and I was told in very sarcastic tones that I had been using it incorrectly, and was dismissed when I explained that that was not the case. The man glared at me silently and ripped up my payment information when I asked for a receipt. Deeply unpleasant to the point of being cartoonish. I suspect that the only way they stay in business is that his regulars have gotten used to this sort of behaviour and mess over time. I would recommend avoiding at all costs. read more
