The area inside and surrounding the SM Marketplace in A. Venue has its own tacky kind of charm in that it doesn't care about curating itself. The stores in the area are extremely varied, but there were a few that stood out (because they were actually rather out of place, but I found that endearing.) R&G Enterprises was one of them, mainly because it was a toys/figurines/hobby store, and I'm a huge toy geek.
R&G Enterprises' toy store/gallery is smack in the middle of SM Marketplace's Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf entrance. It boasts an impressive collection of toys, and I geeked out a LOT at the sight of a RARE limited edition Japanese scale figurine I'd normally only see in toy exhibits in conventions: Dark Angel Olivia's Twin Tail edition, a WonFes exclusive. WonFes is the world's biggest toys/figures convention, held in Chiba, Japan. You can find a photo of the figure in one of my photos below.
They also have a decent collection of funko pops and other hobby items like tin Star Wars lunchboxes and lightsaber chopsticks. Basically they carry a lot of collectibles, and what's even more delightful is that some prices are reasonable. Other items are prices a bit steeper, though. You might want to have your mobile internet handy so you can do some comparisons if you're interested in an item.
If you're a figurine lover like I am, or just enjoy looking at geek merch, drop by R&G Enterprises the next time you're in the A.Venue area! They've got a diverse collection of on-hand toys you don't come by very often. read more
