I used to rave about the Spanish Health Service, not anymore. my wife was diagnosed with breast…read morecancer a few months ago and started vigorous rounds of 3/4 hour sessions of chemotherapy weekly. my wife had kidney problems to which I alluded but was assured all would be well. it wasn't halfway through the chemotherapy she became very ill indeed and I had to get an ambulance to rush her into hospital where she was diagnosed with Sepsis where she remained for nearly 6 week. I was then told by a consultant that she was fit to go home even though she was still incontinent and could not walk. my wife was desperate to go home so against my better judgment she came home, for just 36 hours when after she got progressively worse I call an ambulance
2 hours later she died from what I was told Septic Shock
obviously the sepsis had not been cured
I am very angry about this, not with the nursing which was generally very good, but with the doctors who handed responsibility from one department to another
I think I have lost my wife of 56 years to some poor decisions at this hospital
