I had to take my wife to this hospital for a brain scan as it was the only one with this facility…read morein my area of Alicante. We arrived from Pilar de la Horadada at 7.45 for an 8.00 appointment. We were pleasantly surprised how beautiful this hospital was and so clean. We were met by friendly staff at the front desk and led to where we had to go. On arriving there we were again met by a young nurse who showed us to a room where my wife was given a relaxing chair and told to close her eyes and relax for twenty minutes. After another nurse administered an injection and a further ten minute wait we were shown into this spotlessly clean room where this big machine was. The following process took roughly 25 minutes and after being asked to wait for a further 5 minutes we were told all was well and we could leave. All had been achieved in about one hour. My wife and I would like very much like to thank the staff for the way we were treated. I cannot imagine a better treatment being given to us anywhere else. A really beautiful hospital in every way.

I used to rave about the Spanish Health Service, not anymore. my wife was diagnosed with breast…read morecancer a few months ago and started vigorous rounds of 3/4 hour sessions of chemotherapy weekly. my wife had kidney problems to which I alluded but was assured all would be well. it wasn't halfway through the chemotherapy she became very ill indeed and I had to get an ambulance to rush her into hospital where she was diagnosed with Sepsis where she remained for nearly 6 week. I was then told by a consultant that she was fit to go home even though she was still incontinent and could not walk. my wife was desperate to go home so against my better judgment she came home, for just 36 hours when after she got progressively worse I call an ambulance 2 hours later she died from what I was told Septic Shock obviously the sepsis had not been cured I am very angry about this, not with the nursing which was generally very good, but with the doctors who handed responsibility from one department to another I think I have lost my wife of 56 years to some poor decisions at this hospital Steve Chapman

Relatively new public hospital (opened in 2006): large, having modern equipment and well managed. A well-oiled medical conveyor. On the negative side: - it is quite busy and you may need to wait for several days to be seen by a specialist or have a research - appointments times are rarely kept, you will wait for some 30 minutes. You still have to arrive before your appointment time - emergency rooms: very long waits if your condition is not life threatening Huge free parking lot. Cafe. Recommended if you can wait - you won't get much better service in private hospitals anyway. The same doctors work here and there.

Paid lots. No fun. Friend is a permanent client, says he's not happy the service. The main difference from any hospital covered by medical insurance is that you don't have to wait for several days before you're examined by a specialist. They also do operations not covered by public medical insurance system (like plastic surgery). Many doctors work here and in government hospitals at different times of the day. Buy a private medical insurance (some €1000 a year) and you will be attended here. Great access via N-332 from different parts of the area. Plenty of parking space.
