Great spot in Manila's Chinatown for a quick snack!
We came here for some bites while in Binondo, as Quik Snack was recommended on a food blog that I read before visiting Manila. It's a little hard to find, since the alley Quik Snack is located in is small, narrow and a little dark. But once you find the alley, there's a huge Quik Snack sign, signaling you're on your way!
We walked in and were able to be seated immediately. The place was pretty busy with locals and tourists. It's on the smaller side, but saw that they can reserve tables for groups.
We ordered the Beef Miki Noodles and the Fresh Lumpia, which were both recommended by our server. For a drink I also ordered an Iced Coffee. Coffee came out first and was surprised to find that the Iced Coffee had vanilla ice cream and coffee jelly in it, so was on the sweeter side. I'm not big on sweet coffees, so thought it was fine, but not something I'd order again. But the food is the reason why you come here!
The Beef Miki Noodles were awesome! I loved how much peanut flavor you get with the noodles and it was sauteed well in its sauce, which was pepper-y and flavorful. Beef pieces were tender and loved how much green onion came with, adding more flavor! It was also a good size for sharing. The Fresh Lumpia was a nice and different snack! Unlike other lumpias which are usually fried, the Fresh Lumpia is not fried and is much bigger in size, like a mini burrito. They also cut it in half, making it easy to share, though you'll not want to! It had a ton of filling of ground pork and veggies inside, so you definitely get your money's worth. Both of the snacks we ordered were yummy, and would recommend both items.
Glad to have found Quik Snack while in Binondo, as it serves Chinese-Filipino food, with a ton of different snack options and is huge on flavor! It's also very affordable and a good eatery for sharing, especially since you'll want to try multiple items from here. read more
