I a not sure why. The dispatchers are the rude ones...they do not let you talk to them. Despite the terrible phone etiquette, he explicitly quoted me a guaranteed flat-rate of $170 cash for the long-distance trip. On the day of the ride, the scam began. The driver sent a link where the screen suddenly showed $200 instead of the promised $170. Then, once he actually arrived at my house in a black Toyota Highlander SUV, he aggressively changed the price yet again, demanding $250. Because all of my heavy bags, my mom, and my sister were already packed and trapped, he blackmailed us into paying $80 over our original phone agreement when we had no other choice. To make matters worse, the driver mentioned his daughter went to Princeton University, so you would think he would have some empathy for a stressful college move-in day. He didn't care at all. The moment we arrived, he completely refused to lift a finger to help us unload. While I had to rush off to find the check-in tent to grab my dorm keys, he just dumped all of my heavy storage bins, suitcases, and packages onto the sidewalk, leaving my mom entirely by herself to scramble with the luggage. Kiss Car Service pulled a predatory, deceptive bait-and-switch scam on a student and left us stranded on a stressful moving day. They are dishonest, exploitative, and incredibly rude.
