It's another iteration of that well known Super Lab chain serving a cross section of working class America. I had to come here for an employment related test, as they had a convenient appointment time and I had a short timetable. I was only in there around 20 minutes before I was called back, which isn't bad for midafternoon. Tech was friendly enough; most of 'em seemed friendly as well. All the cubicles and spaces well organized and clean to a fault; even the restroom was super clean, as one would hope for a place like this. Lobby was spacious and spartan, as are most Quest Diagnostic facilities I've ever used. If you don't know how to use computer based technology and the like, you'll be in trouble. Some of the older and simpler folks in there seemed puzzled, like they were looking at a Martian technical manual rather than a small touchscreen with simple instructions. Would I come here again? This review is simply based on my experience yesterday. In the past, I have visited multiple locations of quest diagnostics and not always had a similar experience. Perhaps someone new is running this location. I made an appointment the day before for 11:30 AM. About 10 minutes before my appointment I received a text that said press button once you arrive. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and pressed the button; it said please go in have a seat no further check-in is required. The room was very full and busy. I thought, great even though I have an appointment I'm sure I'll be waiting. Nope, about two minutes later my name was called. The person who greeted me was extremely professional, kind, patient and explained everything. They took me into one of the blood draw rooms where they confirmed my insurance. They asked me a few questions, told me exactly what they were going to do, and then within minutes, the blood was drawn. I was shown the stickers, signed something, and I was on my way. **BEWARE** My Dr wrote several blood tests. The phlebotomist told me a PeP Tide test was not covered and would cost me $220, do you still want it? I said No and thank you for telling me. She said ok I wont draw the vial. I refused the test and the phlebotomist put one vial back. Quest still ran the test somehow and billed me $220. Do not trust Quest, if you do not want one test out of several just cancel them ALL and start over since Quest does not seem to know what they are doing. If you can go elsewhere! read more

I'm switching to Labcorp based on my experience at Quest. I waited 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to be called in and then had to wait another 10 minutes while the phlebotomist checked with other staff and her supervisor because she said she didn't know what these codes were on the order and that the doctor's office needs to put the test codes on the order. Looking at the order, there were clearly codes in the ICD column. She then proceeded to call my doctor's office and, when she didn't immediately get someone on the phone and got voicemails instead, she hung up ... and then called back, not once, not twice, but at least 4 times. She was in a huff and told me no one was answering and that I'll have to call the doctor to get the codes. I left there totally fed up and decided to call my doctor from my car. I left a voicemail on the nurses' line telling them what the phlebotomist at Quest said about needing test codes. A nurse called me back immediately and said she and the other nurses in the office have never had a problem in the past with their orders; that the ICD codes are listed on the order. She suggested I go to another lab. I told her that I had already made up my mind to do that very thing. I had a very different experience at Labcorp, from check-in, to taking me at my scheduled appointment time, to the very professional, efficient, knowledgeable staff and wonderful phlebotomist who took care of me and made my visit painless. read more

I'm giving this 2 stars because the tech was nice. I arrived at 6:50 a.m. because they said they had "red carpet" service for older or special needs patients. No-one arrived to let us in until 7:20. There were some people older then me that were struggling to keep their place in line because standing was difficult. I let the lady in front of me go to her car to sit until they opened. A snafu with the key was explained to us(in other words the person in charge with the key was 20 minutes late) It was like the wild west. People were cutting in line and everybody seemed very mad and upset. You could tell there was no wipedowns between clients. I just say to skip this location altogether! read more

I am so mad I am kicking things. I got there at 1024 for a 1030 appointment. They asked you to check in via text. I did that. They said you could wait in your car or in the building, and they would text or call you when it was time. I waited in the car. I checked my texts every few minutes. I finally saw a text come through. Went inside. Two terminals, and you had to check in AGAIN. Both were busy. I waited for 15 minutes. Then - scan your drivers license. Scan your insurance card. Done. Message: YOU ARE MORE THAN TEN MINUTES LATE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT AND WE DON'T HAVE ANY MORE TODAY. GO AWAY AND COME BACK. I made another appointment, but from now on I will be doing this elsewhere. I was there FIVE MINUTES EARLY. read more

Wait wait wait. Then wait some more. Even if you have an appointment. Then try checking in at their self-serve kiosk/screen when you arrive, and it does not work and does not actually check you in, then they will come tell you they are having system issues and that you need to start over checking in, even though you already did the check in at the kiosk. I wasted half a day here, and eventually just left. I will go to a LabCorp or somewhere else for my blood test. read more

Avoid at all costs. Even with an appointment the wait is long, there is no one to even ask for a time update. I watched a man who respectfully did knock on the door for a reasonable update and was literally yelled at. It was incredibly rude. This location used to be great. It has been remodeled, and is now horrible. Wait times are lengthy, even with appointments it may be 45-60 minutes later before they call you. Several people said they had been waiting for hours. There is no longer a reception area- just two check-in kiosks, so no staff up front. If you need help, you have to accost a tech when they open the door to call the next patient. Eventually called back, my phlebotomist grumbled and complained constantly, and took 35 minutes just to process my paperwork for 6 tests. Then, she BLEW OUT A VEIN and had to restick me. (In 67 years, I have never had a vein blow out.) Ugly bruises & pain in BOTH arms. I returned the next day for a stool sample drop-off, and the electronic kiosk offered me an appointment in 3 1/2 hours! I pushed the Help button, indicated I had a drop-off, and was given a number. FORTY-FIVE minutes later, I accosted a tech, and they LIED and said they had already called my number. I was then treated to another 10 minutes of paperwork, from the same phlebotomist I had before. Their check in system is not working properly. Half the people who checked in get lost in the system and have to complain that they are getting skipped. Also, they blew my vein out and it took 2 weeks to heal. My wife went the same day and her vein got destroyed as well. read more

Normally this place is great if all you need is blood work. Today I needed to drop off a stool sample, and I arrived well before my scheduled time of 10:30AM. At this point I've already waited for almost 40 minutes! To me this is inexcusable considering the fact that there are only a couple of people on the waiting room. I've always had a good expierence at this location. Everyone I've dealt with is nice and knows how to draw blood, no bruising . You have know what time to go so you don't have to wait too long. I usually just walk I because know that one of the St. Pete locations is closed, it's hard to get an appointment. I had to wait once and thankfully it was only about 30 min. This was the most accommodating facility. The lady at the front was attentive and kept things moving. When it was my turn for a blood draw, there was already a note that I was a fainter. Cameron was amazing. He allowed me to lay down and he engaged me in a great conversation about delicious breakfast foods I could eat as soon as I left. Very efficient from their on-line appointment scheduling to computerized check in and on-line results back to 2010, so you can see your progress. Comfortable waiting room with TV. Prompt service. I would recommend avoiding this location at all costs and get your blood work done at your local doctors, if possible. Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience today, as I would assume everyone else that they served today as well. Although I understand they were clearly understaffed, their customer service was the worst I have seen in a LONG time. Every customer interaction I observed, was met with extreme impatience and rudeness from the ladies working there. There were a lot of elderly patients in the waiting room and when they would ask very basic questions, in a calm and nice manner, the workers would respond in very unkind ways. I had to wait an hour past my appointment time to get my blood drawn, as did everyone else. When I was finally back in the room, the bedside manner was even worse. While I was back there, the lady left another customer's license and insurance information right next to me while she left the room for a number of minutes, which has to be some sort of HIPPA violation. Further, she accidentally kicked my leg (which isn't a big deal) but didn't even comment on it, then proceeded to step all over my purse and continued to not say anything about it. I understand that they were short staffed and Quest clearly should not allow so many appointments to be made if they do not have enough people to cover them, but the treatment of customers is horrendous and it's unfortunate people treat others like this, especially older, elderly customers are trying to ask simple questions out of their control. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Another note-- the customer interaction between Quest and customers is horrible in terms to their interface and system. Luckily, I am younger and I am able to navigate it, but if god forbid you needed to get a hold of someone to talk in person regarding something, it's absolutely impossible. I usually go to this location for my labs and when I have gone, the lab technicians are very nice, but my experience on Friday November 26th was not an experience I was expecting. When the technician called my name, she carried it with attitude. After going in, I asked to use the restroom and she got frustrated with me. After using the restroom, I walked into the room and I explained to her that I need to lay down when labs are being taken. She proceeded to review my records and while she was reviewing she proceeded to have a personal conversation on her cell phone. Then she proceeded to turn around and act like she was working, but she was actually texting. After she was done texting, she proceeded to complain that she only had 2 hours of sleep. She also went on to complain that it was extremely busy and the systems were not working. After she was done complaining, she told me to follow her into a different room and I told her again that I need to lay down. She then got frustrated again, and took me to a different room. While she was getting the needle ready, she was continuing a conversation on her cell phone. Before she proceeded, I asked her to be nice before she stuck in the needle. She was not nice. I was left with a black/blue bruise and a sore arm. I NEVER bruise. I am still in pain from the injection site. I wish I got her name, but I didn't. Today was filled with doctors for me - NOT fun. Thankfully, the part I was dreading the most was no big deal. I am a complete wimp about shots and I had never had my blood drawn before. Additionally, I had to fast and I'm hypoglycemic! I was terrified. I'm pleased to say it was absolutely no big deal. They were efficient, it didn't hurt, and I felt comfortable. I had an appointment and had to wait about 15 minutes after the appointment time which wasn't great, but also kind of expected. The screen did not show accurate times and they bumped names before they were called. I'm not sure why. Overall, this was a successful experience that I won't fret as much in the future about. I recommend putting a t-shirt over your head. It's so silly and embarrassing, but it'll really help keep you calm if you're squeamish like me! read more

I have been here many times and really have not much good to say about it under normal conditions . Right now I understand everyone is frazzled but the office has notices on the doors but nothing stating about the door wait. There should be a folding sign on the sidewalk explaining the procedure of getting into the place. Now there is a barrier table from the Ninja place next door herding people off their side of the sidewalk. The techs are overloaded with their duties and are very understaffed. Wait times are 45 minutes. I would not have even been there if the lab tech checked if a test was covered as stated in the message on the recording. Waste of my morning. read more

This lab is our family's go-to. It's always clean and never that long of a wait. Neither of us have had any issues walking in for fasting draws first thing in the morning. We never make appointments and never had to wait very long. The office/waiting room layout is simply laid out so it's pretty obvious where to sign in (there are 2 touchscreen kiosks) and where to sit. The TV doubles as a monitor to show everyone their individual wait times. Staff is always kind. Can't complain about anything. read more

I've been here twice and while' I'm impressed there's never been a wait, there are some real concerns. The phone number listed doesn't work and the hours of operation listed online are very different from the hours they actually follow. My biggest concern was a technician who did not wear gloves when taking my blood. I am concerned with that but insurance will make sure I return. read more

Last Thursday I went to have some blood work done. Paperwork was done, I had 2 referrals from two different doctors in two totally diferent practices. The gentleman who took care of me pinched me once on each arm and said he couldn't find my veins. This gentleman had no gloves and had some kind of fungus in his fingers and fingernails. He passed me on to another lady who then pricked me twice, once on each hand. They were able to get enough for one of the tests. I asked for my prescription for the other test they couldn't provide and she asked me to come back on the next Monday. Today is monday, I went there again same man with fungus in his nails and fingers told me the same and did not try but refer me to the other lady gain who pick me twice again unsuccessfully. . And when I asked for my prescription for the test they had sent it with the other lab. Place was disorganized and the man with the fungus on his nails and finger should wear gloves. I would never go there again. If there was a 0 star that would be my rating... I now have to get another test prescription and go to the hospital to do the lab work which should have been said before they pricked me 6 times trying to get blood from me. Horrible waist of time... never had that happen to me before. And I donate blood all the time and do blood work often. read more
