This bar definelty lives up to its name. This wasn't my first time at this bar. The bartenders are usually nice. Tonight the arrogant guy behind the bar shouted at me when I asked him for a whiskey and coke. Apparently it made him mad that I didn't tell him what kind of whiskey I wanted. When I asked him what kind of whiskey he had, he was outraged.
So I'm an adult I don't need the bartender to be my best friend when I go to have a drink. I do however expect them to be civil. I tend to go to bars that are friendly to me. For example: the bartender at Nähkörbchen gave me a free drink for no reason at all earlier that night.
After the queen at Queenz gave me my drink, I watched the fancy princess prance around like he was God's gift to every man in Germany.
I was sitting at the bar and to my left a man was drinking a beer. The bartender went to take the empty beer glass and accidentally broke it on the marble counter top. No problem. Accidents happen. The bartender picks up the big pieces of glass from the bar, then takes a coaster and starts flicking the remaining tiny shards of glass all over the customer who was standing in front of the bar, and towards me as well. I got up and stepped back. He didn't say sorry but simply glared at me. I asked him who was in charge. He told me the guy at he door. By the way, the guy at he door is also the guy who takes your money as you leave. I finished my drink and I went to speak to the guy at the door. He was apologetic but defended the princess bartender. He also charged me 11.50 euros for the same drink that cost 8 euro at Nähkörbchen. I know where I'm going next time I'm in Düsseldorf. read more
