The owner/instructors Brent and Reece alter the classes every day and include cardio and weights in every session. They're on three or four times a day at times convenient for people who have jobs. Because of this it took me quite a while to actually go in. a few laps past the windows to look in to see the equipment they have available and the membership prices. One night I couldn't sleep - one of the hot sticky nights that sleep just doesn't want to come - so I thought to myself that now is the best possible time to go and try it out. The gym layout is styled on those west coast US gyms you see in the movies. With more equipment than you can imagine - weight training, cardio fitness, boxing and more - I just wanted to run on the treadmill for a few hours. Afterwards the fully stocked Pro Shop for all your training supplement requirements,and what's better is the coffee shop found even closer than you'd expect. Now I guess I'll never sleep. The membership is not the cheapest if you're a "every now and then" kinda gym user but if it's a 4-6 day a week thing this is definitely for you.

The music isn't blasting around the clock and with music videos all over the walls. Nah, you're here to work out in a good, clean, peaceful environment. No attitude from the patrons or staff. The members help keep this gym stay clean by putting stuff away and being courteous. The staff aren't running up and down, stopping you in between workouts to sell you "________." They are there when you need them, they make sure the place is running smoothly, make recommendations when asked. This is a very good gym.

Always a nice & clean workout environment & thankfully no PTs walking around trying to pressure you into buying sessions with them. The other beauty is that it really is anytime access, there are safety alarm pendants if you feel vulnerable working out on your own during the unstaffed hours. So far I'm very happy with this place & now with over a months membership to my name I'm able to use other branches of Anytime Fitness if I find myself needing to workout in another suburb!!!

The Exercise room opened up right near my house a few months ago and was offering memberships for only ten dollars a week so I signed up. So far I'm happy with this clean, convenient, and well priced gym. The reason it's so cheap is because its not manned all the time (there is staff around until around 6 or 7 pm Monday-Saturday). This means nights and Sundays are not staffed. They have pretty good security comprising cctv cameras in the gym that are monitored at all times, electronic keys for members, and the kinda freaky "panic button" mounted on the wall should an emergency occur. I still prefer to go when an employee is around but that's just me. The Exercise room has dispensed with classes like zumba, which also helps keeps prices low. What they haven't scrimped on is the equipment, which is really top of the line. Each treadmill and bike comes equipped with a large TV monitor which includes digital channels, internet (check your pinterest while you work out!) comprehensive workout plans, and even a tour de France style bike tour through Burgundy. Everything is super clean and there are a couple of private shower stalls available. What could be better than watching air crash investigation episodes on youtube while you run? For a lazy couch potato such as myself, it has worked a treat.

Only set dumbells and set barbell weights available. Positives! The trainers are fantastic, the staff are all lovely and hospitable. They do have a good selection of kettlebells and also recently introduced Les Mills classes. The class sizes are also sparsely attended therefore it often feels like your getting a PT session. The regular attendees are also very amicable. Overall, friendly, affordable and great if u live in the vicinity. Oh! My only issue with the Ascot Vale Sports & Fitness Centre is hygene-related (which is something that I'm quite finicky about). The men's change room really stink by the end of the day. Also, the pool facilities are noticeably dirtier by the end of the day, than they are at the start (so make sure you wear thongs).
