The line is for those who is going in for a court business. The jury member pick is very systematic. In half hour, everyone has been called to drop off the jury card. A video of the selection procedure has been shown while waiting. Tv was left in while waiting for instructions. In less than hour, the selected juries has been called. In an hour, the rest has been dismissed after the confirmation that there's no need for additional jurors. Beautiful experience. Location is close to everything, bus stops, commercial stores, medical shops and retail shops. Thought I won't like this location over Kew Gardens. I was wrong. See you in 6 years !

If you really want to know the truth, Queens County Civil Court on Sutphin Boulevard is about the…read moremost depressing place you'll ever step foot in. I used to work as a paralegal, which is basically just a fancy word for being an underpaid lackey who carries around accordions full of paper for lawyers in the office (not my boss of course) who think they're hot stuff, so I know a bit how these places operate. The whole building smells like old floor wax, wet umbrellas, and sheer, unfiltered misery. Anyway, I had to haul myself down to Small Claims because of this absolute phony of a rabbi. I'm not even kidding. The guy swore he had an expert watchmaker who couod fix my antique watch. To tell the truth he turned out to be a total crook. I brought him my absolute favorite vintage piece, a German made A. Lange & Söhne piece with a black enamel dial and gold hands just because it needed a minor movement adjustment. He looks at me real solemn, gives me this big speech about honesty and community, and promises he's just taking it to his "master watchmaker friend" to clean the gears. Next thing I know, he's dodging my calls, pretending he never saw my texts and he's apparently trying to keep my seven thousands dollar timepiece for himself under false pretenses. It made me so pissed I could hardly keep myself from attacking this guy, boss lawyer man told just take him to small claims. So there I was in Jamaica, standing in front of bulletin boards covered in cheap paper notices that nobody reads, waiting to submit my statement of claim after mailing rabbi a letter of demand which he predictablyignored. Everyone in the clerk's office acts like you're personally ruining their day just by standing near their window with twenty bucks in my hand for the fee. They got upset with a fellow for using the wrong color ink, and most all of the people waiting in line look like they're about to cry or punch a hole through the wall. If you're looking for grand justice, don't hold your breath. It's an exhausting, bureaucratic nightmare full of phonies and red tape. But if you get screwed over by a false holy man who turns out to be nothing more than a common pickpocket in a suit, I guess it's the only game in town. One star, mostly because the security guard at the metal detector was the only person in the building who didn't look like he hated my guts.

I also filled out the form very thoroughly as I wanted to make sure I get my full child support. My ex has never paid his share of the bills and I needed to make sure he did after our separation. He even lied about his salary. In front of my physically and mentally abusive husband, as was stated in the court papers, the judge humiliates me by saying "why did you write so much, this is ridiculous". My ex made a "now you know what I'm dealing with" face. The same face he made when he knocked me into a wall. How dare a judge, who is supposed to be a professional, make a statement like that. Take the numbers you need, plug them into the computer and keep your rude, unnecessary comments to yourself. If you don't like your job, get another one. I suggest if you experience this, you file a complaint. I wish I had. Expect to be treated rudely, mentally prepare not to respond , they seem to be looking for power plays. There is a formula for child support, look it up before you go and make sure to include all necessary parts. Ask for medical. I almost didn't get it because the judge didn't care. I asked. Ask for dental. Ask for what you need despite the rude judges. Bring something to eat, something to drink and a sweater. It's a long day of waiting. Make sure your phone is fully charged so you have something to do.

I traveled from outside the United States to submit documents for my late mother's estate. As you can imagine, losing a parent is already an emotional experience -- and adding international estate procedures on top of that is not exactly the kind of adventure anyone dreams of. Although I fully understand that the Court must follow strict procedures, my experience at the counter was unfortunately not very positive. The staff member who assisted me did not seem particularly inclined to help, and I felt that my situation as someone coming from abroad was not taken into consideration. To make things even more confusing, the forms available online appear to be outdated, yet I was told that several documents were missing -- documents that do not appear anywhere in the official checklist. At that moment, I wondered if I had accidentally downloaded the "vintage edition" of the forms. Given how complex and emotional these procedures can be, especially for grieving families, I truly believe the Court could consider creating clear, updated tutorials or step‑by‑step guides. Many people rely entirely on the information available online, and a little extra guidance would go a long way -- and probably reduce the number of puzzled faces standing at the counter. On a positive note, I want to highlight that the security personnel were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Their warm attitude was a bright spot in an otherwise challenging visit. I hope this feedback can help improve the experience for others who, like me, are doing their best to navigate the process during a difficult and sensitive time.
