The other reviews are right... there is not a bad seat in the house. It is a smaller theatre, very intimate, but you wouldn't know it by their amazing sound and lights. As soon as the house lights go down, you instantly forget where you are and are transported into the show. Washrooms were clean and well maintained. Concession had lots of options. I don't think that the theatre itself can do anything about this, so they don't lose stars, but it's worth mentioning that there is some kind of colony of Pincher beetles outside the theatre and we were swarmed while waiting for our Uber. No matter where we moved to, they were there. And while their bites may not be harmful, they sure hurt!

The actors are TOP NOTCH, very skilled!

It's a very intimate theater, which is great for 'off broadway' type performances. There's not a bad seat in the house. We loved our experience here and look forward to returning.

It was a little harder to hear than other theaters I've been to. In this lobby, there is a place where you can sit down or stand and talk before entering the auditorium upstairs. They usually have drinks and a few snacks provided during intermission and sometimes even before the show begins. On this floor, there are bathrooms. Since it is a very old building, it is built more vertically than laid out horizontally. You have to walk at least two flights of steps to get to where the show is performed. If you want to use the larger bathrooms, they are downstairs two flights of stairs. Last time I was here, I realized there is now an elevator. You can reach that door by going outside of the lobby--such a great addition for those who cannot handle the steps. The theater is very small, as the auditorium holds about 110 to 120 people. It is pretty packed where the show is performed, as the seats are close to one another. There are rows A through G with about 18 seats in each row. There is not a bad seat in the house, but if you are in the front row, you are almost on stage! I love how intimate this theater is. All of the shows that I have seen at Mariemont are high-quality. In fact, those actors and actresses have to be high-quality, as the audience is so close, there is not really room for error. I've seen two shows here in the past year: Harvey and Dearly Departed. Both were great! Looking around the audience, most of the audience members were above the age of 60. Lots of older women and gentlemen, and in my conversations with the people around me, I really do feel like this theater has a large audience of return members. The older gentleman sitting next to me at the last show said he and his wife have been coming to see all the shows here for the past 20 years. He was at least in his 80s. I love seeing the community rally around their community theater and supporting the arts! Thanks for a wonderful time! I can't wait to be back.

However, I am appalled that during the worst covid outbreak that we have ever seen in this area, they are not cancelling performances. Apparently, their love for the almighty dollar outweighs their care and respect of their audience members. I was grateful last year when they cancelled the whole season. I even donated my ticket (4) costs and I would do so again if performances were cancelled. I am fully vaccinated and boosted, however I still don't want to get covid. So, I will not be attending any performances until the covid pandemic has subsided.

2015 Review - from a chronic Fringer…read more I love the Fringe Festival here. Granted, I have never been to another Fringe, but from what I hear, the Fringieness of CincyFringe is set to stun. Seriously though, I have yet to find another group of eclectic, open minded and welcoming bunch like the folks who frequent CincyFringe. This is my second year attending the Cincinnati Fringe Festival. I went in 2014 and dreamed about going again soon. The line-up for this year, of song and dance, dance and theatre, shadow puppets and one-woman specktaculars is not to be missed. There is something for everyone! For those with younger or more delicate ears and sensibilities, be sure to pay attention to the rating systems for content. Otherwise, don't be afraid to pop into a show even unplanned! You never know what's in store once you enter the doors of a Fringe show. However, as time goes on during the festival, and carrier pigeons and instagrams alike spread the word, tickets are snatched up quickly! Be sure to book your own tickets in advance if you're dying to see that part comedy, part zombie, part musical performance. When you're done enjoying the show, be sure to head to the Know Theatre for the evening's Fringe Bar Series. Every night there is a new theme, like discounted drinks (yes, there is a full bar beneath the theatre!), Fringe-oke, and riding Segways. And hit up the food trucks posted outside the door, guaranteed to fill your stomach with tasty bites.

What a wonderful two weeks of live theater and art, a celebration of spontaneity and universality. Every year, the Know Theatre reviews dozens of applications for the best plays and art displays to feature in these two weeks - what results is a mix of home grown talent and award winning Fringe plays from across the country, even some from other countries. The plays last an hour but every one I've seen almost leaves you asking for more. I also wanted to give a big shout out to the community that participates in this festival. It is a broad age range and a diverse group of people, but all are affected equally by the high energy one gets from performing and seeing such original works of art. The shows are well run by volunteers, staff, and interns, and they take place in OTR, all in walking distance of the Know Theatre. After the last show of the night concludes, the Know Theatre hosts the Know Underground parties and events in the downstairs lobby and theater. This includes variety shows and interviews with the performers and directors of the plays as well as live music. I look forward to Fringe every year.

The building is absolutely gorgeous and although it wasn't open today, they did have a condensation stand with a bar. Parking was a bit of a pain though, I ended up parking a block or 2 away from the theater itself. The show was incredible and blew my expectations out of the water! My only suggestion is to not sit in the top row, as you can sometimes see what is happening in the back. Overall, we loved this place and will definitely be back!

With four different stages set up, there's a little something for everyone. Observational humor, hilarious stories, and sometimes just plain weird stuff - it's all at Brew Ha-Ha. I did sample a few of the food trucks including a Burger truck and a BBQ truck, which I'll review separately. Soft drinks were only available at one specific stand, which I guess makes sense given this is a beer festival but it did make things inconvenient for a non-drinker like me. My favorite comedian, Chad Daniels, flew in to town from Minneapolis for this event and destroyed the stage under the tunnel. I didn't catch Preacher Lawson's set on the main stage, but he was on last year's America's Got Talent and did well there so I'm sure he was fun to watch. Many of my favorite local comedians took to the various stages and I was able to enjoy sets from some of them like Ran Barnaclo, Anna Mazza, Lee Kimbrell, Grant Stiles, and many more. The weather was perfect, the comedy was funny, and the crowds seemed to be having a great time. It was about as perfect an event as you could ask for!

In fact, my grandfather used to live off of Sunset in 90s. It is in a great location and has wonderful views of the park on the way to the theater with tons of parking. The theater is in a revamped gym building that has it's own character and is quite beautiful. The only dislike is that all the front glass doors are broken except for the 1 on the far right - this makes it hard to get in and out of the building when there is a crowd. This could also be a potential safety hazard. Entering the theater there are quite a few rooms and a library which is beautiful. The stage is set back and they do have seating on the ground floor with standard folding chairs and stadium seating up in the back. This particular show was quite good. I loved the story itself and the one actor who played Mickey was absolutely wonderful!!! There were a few lines that were definitely skipped over. I have not seen the show before and could definitely tell there were lines skipped as things would be mentioned and wouldn't make sense - clearly lines were skipped explaining the setup I enjoyed the show and the theater. I would see a show here again.
