Great experience here. I never noticed this location but glad I did today. It's Davie's secret. We were promptly seated, had great food and excellent service! Mike our server had great energy! He was on top of his game, very impressed! I had a rough day and the fact that I didn't have to ask for anything extra like more napkins, drinks or condiments was great. Royalty service and super grateful for it. If you want to experience a relaxing meal and some drinks definitely come in and see "Mike!" Chuck the manager will also make sure everything is to your liking. He greeted our table and asked how everyone was enjoying the evening. Ever return to a restaurant remembering what you had once only to find out it's been changed? Ugh, it's disappointing. I ordered the Balsamic Chopped Chicken Salad to discover a few chopped vegetables under a mixed bed of greens with slices of grilled chicken on top. I was expecting a chopped salad, this is not what I consider a chopped salad. The food was ok but to be honest I think I would have been happier at Wendy's. My wife had the Mahi sandwich which she enjoyed. The service was excellent however the food took a while to come out of the kitchen. I'll order something different the if I come back and read to make sure it hasn't changed. Nothing is constant but change. This restaurant isn't what I remember and it seems to be changing to something I don't enjoy anymore. read more

So this Quarterdeck has been around pretty much my entire adult life. As a young adult I thought Quarterdeck was the bees knees. However, two trips recently (as this location is now super close to my place of employment) have really lessened my overall opinion. The service at this restaurant has been a crap shoot. The first time my server was very friendly but slow with coming to and from the table. The second time our waitress was pretty awful. Not particularly friendly and slow. A fail. As far as the food goes- the stuff at this location is super mediocre. I get not everything can be amazing- but they're serving everything mediocre at quality restaurant prices. I actually think the price point is comparable to J Alexander's as far as their salad prices, but you are getting served just meh food. I will likely be back at some point for a drink bc of convenience, but I am going to spend my money dining elsewhere... read more

The food was not good at all:/ the mahi mahi spaghetti made me feel like i was gonna get a heart attack it was DRENCHED in butter,it also was presented like someone vomited onto of my spaghetti , the lobster mac and cheese basically has no cheese and lacks seasoning... the calamari taste like its frozen packaged calamari dumped into the fryer and served... it was so tough, prolly the worst calamari iv tasted ever, i remember quarterdeck USED to be good, idk what happened maybe they just started getting lazy, i wasted 90$ because i did not even finish any of the food. I have been a resident of Davie for over 20 years. I have enjoyed this place on many occasions. I have to say , since the remodel some years ago and COVID it has changed . And while yes life moves and changes happen I am so disappointed with what has become of my neighborhood bar and grill. Prices have skyrocketed and the quality has really gone down. I don't mind paying top price for good food but when they count bones as chicken wings (at $17.00 for 10 wings ) I have to kind of draw a line. We dined tonight at the Davie location. Not only was the service horrible, but the fries came out cold...but the service was worse. The girl that took our order seemed like she didn't really know what she was doing. Our beer that we ordered was flat by the time she brought it to the table. She was too busy sipping from her drink and checking her phone. The ribs were very good, and if not for the bad service, we would return. I know that help is hard to come by these days, but if you're going to hire young college student, at least train them properly. read more

Was attended by a very sweet charming young lady who is beyond attentive, she knew our order from the last time we were here. She made us feel at home. Olivia made sure to go above and beyond and I personally feel she deserves a raise, a promotion to management or even a trainer. She can teach other servers how to work as thorough as her. As a customer I believe that she is worth 100 stars out of 5. Oh my, how this place has fallen. We used to come here quite often when the the boys were little because they had a nice kid's menu. Back then some items on the menu were decent including the soup and fresh fish. Fast forward to tonight and most of the items were just bad: Lobster Bisque: Weird consistency. It had no creaminess and no lobster (not even a taste of it) French Onion Soup: So salty I could barely stomach a taste without spitting it out! Fish Dip: Seemed fresh and was somewhat tasty Caesar Salad: Dressing had no flavor Sautéed Snapper: Flavorless & not sure if it was fresh Burger: 12 year old liked it but he could not finish it because after eating a third of it he was in the rest room for the rest of the meal. Was it the burger, fish dip, or just coincidence? Buffalo Chicken Sandwich: 10 year old loved this. Said it was crispy, juicy, and had great flavor. Buffalo Shrimp: I had one and could not eat any more. I ordered it mild and it was pretty spicy. The coating was not crispy at all. At this point for dinner I decided to stick with my.... Loaded Baked Potato: it was fine but it would be hard to do damage to a baked potato! Service was good. Our server kept asking us what she could do to make it better however I really did not want to risk trying anything else. She offered to change out the Buffalo Shrimp that I did not touch. This place is always nice when my family comes here. There is a lot of seating options and they allow you to choose from inside, outside, or you can opt to sit at the bar. They have darts and billiards as well as tons of TVs that always have the biggest football games on. On this particular day, there was a Dolphins football game on and all the whole place would erupt in cheers and applause everytime the dolphins scored! The food here is good. Their sushi is delicious but a little pricey. The fish dip is amazing but the veggies were small portion and didn't seem too fresh. The chicken tenders are really tasty and they give you a lot, but since they are parmesan crusted they're not traditional tenders - just a forewarning. Their chicken wings are 9/10... really good!!!! All in all this place is more than just a place to eat and you can find yourself spending hours here, longer than anticipated! Also shoutout to Juliann who was our waitress. She had a great personality and was attentive to us the whole time and was able to cater to all of our needs (which is a lot - my family is so extra!) read more

Round 2 of July's first Friday. On our way to get pizza we drove past Quarterdeck and decided to give it a try as they have outdoor seating. We were not sure where to enter and went to the side of the restaurant where we were met by a nice girl, with mask, and asked us to follow her to a station for a temperature check. Mind you we had to walk through a large portion of the restaurant to do this. not so much of a game changer. We were escorted to the nice outdoor area that had tables a very nice distance apart. Some were the typical table and chairs, others table and couches. We opted for table and couch as it was the least crowded at the time. Our waiter Hareem came over to give us menus, not disposable, and asked us if we wanted drinks, hubby a beer and me, just water with lemon. Props to him for being kind and giving attentive service.It took me a while to decide what to order but after asking Hateem for suggestions I opted for the Pecan crusted chicken salad. Hubby ordered the El Dorado Sandwich. The El Dorado came with a side of coleslaw which for me was the highlight of the meal. It had the right amount of mayo and seemed to have "marinated" for the proper amount of time. The sandwich had lettuce and a slice of fried pickle which he enjoyed. The Mahi Mahi was blackened and I thought there should have been a bit more but he did not complain. My Chicken was placed alongside of the salad.The chicken was sliced thin and barely coated with pecans, though it did have a nice crispy crust of mostly bread crumbs. It was not greasy and had some Mandarin oranges sitting on top. The portion size was fine. The salad had mixed greens, dried cranberry raisins, diced tomatoes, mandarin oranges, and raspberry vinaigrette dressing. My error, I did not request the salad dressing on the side. I do like a nice amount of dressing on my salad but there was something not exactly right about this. It almost seemed the salad was sitting in the dressing a long time. The veggies were just not as crisp as they should have been. It was passable but not just right. Overall an OK meal that filled our stomachs,but would I go back????? Not too sure. read more

I've been coming to the location in Davie on and off for the last couple of years. Always new faces with staff, what's new. I normally go to the bar unless my family is in town. Lately not sure if it is because of their "new system" because it has happened here and there before their "new system" but the last 3 times for sure the bar staff (Niki) has adjusted their own tips. At first I saw it as a mistake and mistakes happen. But I started paying more attention to who is working and when it happens, and now it seems to be happening every time I go not here and there. At this point it is stealing, and not a mistake. Why do I leave a tip when their staff is going to only change it themselves to then have more money in their pocket? Quarterdeck is a neighborhood bar and grill, not a come get ignored because they are having one on one conversations with what seems to be their friends, while ignoring the rest of the paying patrons. Wait sometimes 20 minutes on what seems to be slow nights to be acknowledged, because they are too busy with their friends. And then to have their staff adjust their own tips? This is unacceptable. What happened to Quarterdeck? Staff used to care about their patrons, food was always consistent and had amazing taste, always a manager around for any issues or even going around to check on everyone, and always new specials every day of the week/end, music and an amazing crowd for the games and other sporting events. Now you're lucky if it happens. It's no wonder why I don't see any more familiar faces except for a handful. Who wants to go here anymore? They are now claiming they are no longer a sports bar, but a bar and grill (what's the difference?) I am about to stop going as well. Back in 2004, I used to go here all the time after work/school at NSU. I'd go, order a cruzan and coke during happy hour, and hang out with friends, or finish up homework or have a snack or two. Waitstaff were /always/ extremely helpful and kind and friendly. Then, in 2007, I left Florida for New York, and stayed up here. In 2014, I had to go back to NSU for about 6 months. Of course, I was going back to my favourite bar. Sure as heck, there was a waiter who worked there when I used to come after work, and was now a manager. He recognised me, and was like, "Where have you been" when I ordered a cruzan and coke like I always did back then. We caught up with each other, and it was lovely. I went back multiple times to hang out with friends, and the waitstaff (regardless of whom they are) remembered me, and had my drink ready by the time I had my wallet out. "I saw you coming in, and knew what you'd like." This is a neighbourhood place. You go here a few times, and they recognise you, and show you that they're happy to have you back. For someone to remember me after /seven years/, and still maintain that level of good service I had all those years before? That to me speaks strongly of an excellent place. read more

We had a pretty rough afternoon/evening here yesterday. Everyone that worked here was very nice, but not very attentive. When we got to the restaurant we stood and waited for someone to notice us for several minutes, once seated waited at least 7-10 minutes to be acknowledged by our server, and then another 10 for our drinks. The day sort of continued on like this, we had some friends join us, but it was difficult to even get our waters filled. We definitely noticed that other people seemed to be getting things faster, so it may have been a fluke and our server may have just been having a bad day. In regard to the food, it was fresh hot and tasty. For me, feeling neglected at a restaurant makes it hard for me to go back, there are several other locations, so if I wanted to eat the same food, I might drive a little further next time in hopes for better service. read more
