We were at the Grampians National Park looking for a bite to eat for dinner. Unfortunately there were about three places open to choose from, and to say the least, we must have chose the worst out of them all. To start off, there were cob webs on the lamps which should have been our first red light. But we stayed optimistic only to be let down by our starter, the bruschetta. Which to our misfortune was the equivalent of a coles premade salad on cheap bread. After two strikes we still kept our hopes up but were immediately reminded that The Quarry must be the worst restaurant in the grampians. The steak platter that was ordered to be medium rare, the chef decidedly cooked it passed well done. This dry piece of meat was complimented by store bought frozen chips and raw veggies with no flavor. The staff was hustling and could have used some help as there were only two ladies to host, bartend, and waitress. This was all backed by a chef who has the skills of a 5 year old child. The overpriced food did not represent the quality, presentation, or atmosphere of the restaurant. We regretted our decision. You're better off with the fish and chips place across the street. read more
