Where do I start? I was having problems with my Mazda 3 and wanted to look for a mechanic to diagnosis the issue. My car was a bit finicky starting up, so I decided to just call a mobile mechanic. First time calling one, but man, what a huge difference. You save so much time by not having to wait in the waiting area for hours or having to get an uber back and forth. Top notch service! Out of all of the mechanics I reached out to, James was the most transparent and worth every penny. The best part is how he comes out to you. My check engine light and trac off light were on, and it was diagnosed as an ignition coil misfire. I reached out for quotes on parts and labor, and he provided a detailed quote with all the parts needed and the expected labor hours and costs for the repairs. He was extremely responsive and very transparent with all of his answers to my questions, which helped us choose him for the service. He was able to come out the next day to make the repairs at my home. He came with all of his tools and went straight to work on my 2015 Toyota Corolla. He allowed me to observe the repairs and walked me through every step as he was doing them. He is extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the condition of my old parts, the nuances of the new parts and even why he was applying anti-seize. After the replacement, he cleared the codes and ran me through results of the new codes generated. It was clean, but he still went through everything that the car computer initially tests and the things that are tested after driving a bit. He then inspected all the parts under the hood and walked me through the condition of everything. He even checked my brakes, tires and alignment. Overall, the whole process was excellent. He expertly provided the repair and even taught me more about my vehicle. I will definitely use him for more services moving forward (as I will eventually need part replacements, transmission fluid and filter changes, and an AC recharge) and I highly recommend him. read more

James lacks the most basic integrity. First,he cancelled our appointment then got late for the second one. That's okay,I'm fine with it. He came over to check my AC for cooling issues and told me I needed to buy an AC receiver dryer, and that the labor for replacing it along with the expansion valve would cost around $500. I agreed and went to buy the parts. When I returned, he told me the labor would be $835 and that this didn't include the initial $175. So, he was going to charge me almost $1000 in total. I couldn't believe he could make such an outrageous demand. His explanation was that he didn't quote based on the labor book, but asking for $1000 is treating me like a fool. read more
