LeafFilter advertises two things: that you don't have to clean out gutters again, and there's a lifetime warranty. Their sales pitch is fairly high pressure and they start out with a very high price and then "discover" all of these discounts that brings it down to an almost reasonable price. The sales person will tell you over and over again about how you'll never have to clean your gutters and that, if you do have any problems, they will be right out to fix them. They also did modifications to help with a runoff issue related to the gutters. They claim to be able to do that expertly, but guess what, not so much. When my gutters began to overflow in moderately heavy rain... Not a monsoon...I contacted the company. I had to do this through this through a third-party because they list no customer service contacts anywhere... Only sales contacts. I did receive a response. Response was that all gutters have to be cleaned on a regular basis and that all gutters will overflow in a heavy downpour. I was then told that if I insisted they would send out someone to inspect the gutters but I was warned that I would be charged for the visit should they find that the gutters are not the problem. Specifically, if they find that they are clogged, the gutters are not the problem. I would say that their advertising is completely false and you should really avoid these folks if at all possible. One of the main reasons I went with them was that I have a stretch of guttering that is very dangerous to clean. From my experience you may not have to clean out the gutters as often but you definitely have to keep cleaning them out; probably once a year.

So for two weeks I call the service department in Ohio. DAY AFTER DAY I get an apology and a promise that someone would call me by close of business. But DAY AFTER DAY there was never a call so I repeated again for two weeks. After I had given up on getting a response I finally get a call. But I am told from the pictures there is no way to fix problem. This just left me thinking of replacing a section with another brand. Well I got a bid of $1600 to fix problem from a competitor. But Shortly after I got a call from leaffilter and made an appointment for a technician to see problem. This time he showed up on time and called appropriately. A totally different behavior than previous representatives. He found problem and fixed in 10 minutes. He was a contractor not an employee and was professional in contrast. I cannot recommend Leaffilter even though I believe problem is solved. The effort it took is cause for outrage. There are better options.

We discovered leaks during a recent long hard rain spell. The son (think his name is Eric) came out next day and gave us an estimate, that was within our budget to replace the entire ridge line that had popped up and the nails were basic holes in the roof. He came back the next day to give a temporary patch so we would not have more damage as it continued to rain, even though he was not well, his commitment to me was fore most. Because of the rain, they were delayed in getting back as there were other jobs in front of us that had been delayed...but only a couple of weeks. Their worker Dave came out, was polite, and fixed a few other things he noticed needed repair without charging anything more. I am very happy with the result.

I never knew when the crew was coming. They were very sloppy. They used some of the trim I bought to construct a base for their saw. They replaced it but, seriously. They had to paint after removing the popcorn and installing the crown. I explained I had special paint for the walls. They used the wrong paint for touchup which meant the entire walls had to be repainted? I think a big piece of the problem was that they didn't speak English. I asked them to replace the crew even if I had to wait a while. They agreed then sent them back. They broke stuff in the house. They scratched my cabinets with ladders and tried to put touch up paint on the scratches that looked terrible. They caulked the molding and it all cracked. I called many times to address the issues and it took days to get anyone. And then I got promises but no action. Finally I sad just stop and leave. I tried to negotiate the payment to reflect the damage. The owner even came out finally to talk to me and wouldn't agree to an adjustment but wanted to send more out to fix things. I refused. I emailed many times, paid part, and asked for an adjusted final price agreement in writing. They sent a lawyers letter of collections threat. I just paid the balance minus the adjustment and said I'd love to show the judge what you did to me. I never heard back. I see lots of good reviews. You are very lucky. But if they could do this to me a single mom with a handicapped child you are rolling the dice if you use them. They have no honor.
