The rooms are dated but spacious, and there is a pool that looks like it could be quite fun. However, the wifi was essentially useless.

It's 2015 and these apartment are by no means modern any more and are in need of refurbishment…read more Definitely not a 4 1/2 star hotel, more like a 3, and disappointing for a Quest apartment. Air con is old and noisy (and smelly - yuk! like someone is breathing on you), tv's are small, the shower head is old and crappy and sprays pulsating water all over the place, beds need changing and are lumpy, housekeeping hadn't changed the light bulb so bedside lamp not working, alarm clock not plugged in. Staff are friendly which is nice but doesn't make up for an uncomfortable stay. I won't be staying here ever again. Best Western is better.

I discovered Quest Albury via a friends referral and I must say he was right on the money. The service was fantastic, the room secure (an important factor in my line of work), very clean, nice lay out and a great view of Albury. Check in was streamlined and I even met the owner operators who are also very personable. The charge back from the restaurant and bar below is great and I must say the whole experience was fantastic with great parking tool. Overall the pricing was right for the area and my only wish was that Quest be in the USA on the east coast. Finally, if you are thinking of a romantic or family get away I would recommend Quest Albury in a heart beat.

However this choice was left to my mum who had stayed the previous week and loved it. It would be unfair of me to deduct stars when it is a Tudor period style with dark woods and low lighting as standard. Established the year I was born, with the room we stayed in looking like it may not have had much done to it since then. I'm ok with old world but freshening the carpet and curtains, installing new ac's, clearing the dangling cobwebs and some TLC in the bathroom would work wonders. I've been told the smaller rooms are more modern though. Now to my reasons for 4 stars. It's something different. A piece of England in the thick of Albury; close to shops and restaurants. Undercover parking that is locked at 1:30am for added security. In house Westminster Restaurant which is absolutely charming, open 7 days for breakfast and dinner. Room service for an additional fee of $3.50 with both the in-room and restaurant menus available. The food is basic but filling. My mum and I especially enjoyed the potato and bacon soup special, delicious! A pleasant courtyard beyond the restaurant with my first reaction being I'd love a Devonshire tea right now! Our room which was two levels/two bedrooms was undeniably spacious with a grand table of 8 seats and dark wood kitchenette. My mum received a sizeable per night discount for her return visit and it's hard to turn down a great bargain. Indoor pool on lower level. Reception is complete with an entire armoured suit and period weaponry on display. A family run business with helpful and friendly staff. I'd like to stay again in a different room to see how they bring modern to boutique style.

The bathroom is reasonably spacious and also very clean. A nice touch is the balcony where you can sit and have a drink or a chat. There is undercover parking and a restaurant although I have not eaten here. Close to the dining areas of the town. It also has wifi which in my book is a real plus.
