This Choice hotels (Quality in Cadiz, Kentucky) required a $30 payment for early check-in. Since it is a benefit of my membership I chose not to pay. My husband and I who traveled all night, slept in the lobby for over two hours, before we went to a relatives h s graduation in the clothes we had worn since the day before when we began our cross country trip. Obviously, a room was available but the owner wasn't satisfied with the funds he was getting from Choice Hotels (we were using points). We think if he isn't satisfied with the choice hotels he should reconsider his association with the corporation rather than treating members poorly. read more

Overall bad experience. I tried to drive as far as I could before stopping. At check in they kept repeatedly asking if it was just me that was checking in. Over and over again. Told me no guests were allowed. I just wanted to get some rest. Room was still dirty from previous guest. Hairs in the sink, toilet and bathtub. Toilet paper was almost out. The room was fine. MOLD on the air condition and dirt in the corners of the floor if you look close. The lady at the front desk was very RUDE and didn't seem to be in a good mood. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt maybe she was having a bad day. The breakfast was buffet style like normal hotels and the lady keeping the breakfast up was very nice. When we checked in at 3 there was only 3 other cars in the parking lot, but by the end of the night there was over 30+. So seems to be a popular spot. read more

We were greeted by a very friendly clerk, who offered fresh baked cookies! Nice clean quiet room, with a comfortable bed. Needed a quick stay on the way from Minnesota to Florida, and glad we chose here to stay! Great value for a night's sleep. Breakfast the next morning wasn't bad either! read more

The hotel was fine but the desk staff had no regard for customer service. The lady with the short white hair and glasses at the front desk was very impatient when checking my reservation. She acted like she had better things to do than to check guests in. It was a horrible first impression that left a sour taste my whole stay. I tried to go to the pool my second night there and the same lady snapped at me saying that it was closed. She needs to learn some manners and treat people better, I will not be returning and recommend that management do something about her. read more

I drive tour buses and I stay in hotel almost every night. That being said I'm a choice reward member. This by far is the best comfort inn I've ever stayed at !! It's just been remodeled and the dropped a lot of money in the right places . This hotel is the best place to stay since rooms can only be accessed from inside the hotel.The rooms at the other hotels in the area are less safe because doors can be accessed from the parking lot.The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The only negative is they don't have an elevator so if you get a room on the second floor you have to climb the stairs. The staff are very attentive and professional. read more

Right before Thanksgiving 2022 my father in law had a kitchen fire and was displaced from his home. The Red Cross gave him a voucher, so we booked him into this hotel. The insurance company outsources living arrangements to a 3rd party who was supposed to extend his stay. I called the hotel the next morning to make sure the arrangements had been made. I asked the man who answered the phone if those arrangements had been made and he started yelling at me saying that he refused to extend his stay because his staff smelled weed and he had better be out of there by 11. It was 10:50 am when I called. I tried interrupting his rant to explain that my father-in-law was 83 and smelled like smoke because of the fire, but the guy kept yelling louder and louder and finally just hung up on me. I literally sat there dumbfounded and burst into tears. How could someone be so insensitive to a little old man with white hair who just needed a place to sleep while his home of 20 years was being repaired. My fatjer in law was so upset he wouldn't even talk about it. The Rodeway Inn, across the street took him in with open arms and cared for him while he stayed there. Thank you Rodeway Inn staff and owner. I will never forgive the rudeness and insensitivity that the owner of the quality inn exhibited. How unprofessional and sickening. I travel with my family OFTEN, about once or twice a month. We have never been treated so abhorrently by a hotel staff. My family and I were traveling South for a Christmas visit with family. I chose this hotel through Hotels.com mostly because it was halfway and partly because it had an indoor pool for my children to swim. BIG mistake. My husband, Daughter, and I walked into the door to pay and get the keys. I excused myself to use the restroom (which was dirty) and then came back out to go retrieve our luggage at which point the Manager (or something like that) came out and refused to accommodate my family - AFTER the took my husband's debit card! We are business owners, we travel frequently, we know how to behave, address people, etc. Manager said it was because of our children. We asked for a refund, and that is when they began getting rude and uncivil. Told us that because of company policy, they didn't have to refund our money! What???!! Long story short, we didn't get a refund OR accommodations (2 days before Christmas and on a LONG road trip) Swindled out of our $71! We wanted to call the police, but our children were there and decided to NOT escalate a situation. I've never even been in such a situation anyway and was uncertain WHAT to do. So, we had to load everyone/everything back up and drove to a different hotel and spent another $85. Next hotel was pleased to accommodate us, and had a better pool. When you first enter this building it looks clean and pleasent but some of staff there arent the greatest. After several times asking about pricing with them, they gave us a price and we asked several times to make sure that was the correct price. On our way out, they charged us three times that amount denying ever saying otherwise. Then the manager became very rude and said the people who were with us, sided with the person paying because we are family, after texting the employee who told us the original price and her denying it after having a manager watch what she was doing when she checked us in. My family and I were driving through to head to Missouri to visit family and decided to stop at this hotel because we needed to use the bathroom and just out drove a severe thunderstorm and a tornado. We are a mixed family and upon entering the building my fair colored mother and I walked into the building and behind came my darker colored brother. We then see at the front desk two white blonde haired woman, one with short hair and glasses and the other with long hair. When these ladies saw my mother, brother, and I, the short blonde haired lady then sprinted to the public bathroom adjacent to the lobby and locked the door. She did this act not knowing if we were staying there or not, then her and the other blonde haired woman gave us these disgusted stares as my mom walks up to the front desk to tell them "we just stopped to use the bathroom because of the severe thunderstorm and tornado and were going to see if you had any available rooms to stay the night until the storms cleared down." The short haired lady then says nothing to my mother and turns around after flipping us off and telling us no. My mother then looks at her and says "fine, you don't need my money or business." We then walked out. So unprofessional of these two woman. They should not be working there at all, literally running to lock a door that upon researching their policy, you are allowed to use the PUBLIC RESTROOM! Shame on these people for being racist as well and showing such hatred to me and my bi-racial family. If you research these woman on other apps and reviews you will see that both have had theft claims put up against them and are very unprofessional and rude, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE GUESTS! They will rack up charges on your cards and change prices that are advertised when they feel like because they think the hotel is "THERE'S." They have even used people's cards to buy extra stays at the hotel and force people to pay money for things they didn't do (having an unclean room,broken kitchen appliances, etc.) they also steal your stuff when you are gone away from your room. I checked in on june 27th 2018 and was told by the desk clerk that for 3 rooms for 3 nights that my total was $318.00 for all 3 rooms but when we went to checkout he charged me $318.00 per room,when i went to question the manager about the extra charges he told me there is no way that his desk clerk told me that was the charge but when i told him that there was 4 other people heard what was said he said that my 4 kids were lying and they would say whatever i told them. when I asked if he would at least meet me half way because it was their foul up he told me that it was not possible that his people to make a mistake like that and started to get loud and very rude. because of this little s.o.b. i will never rent from a quality inn again. so in closing if you do choose to rent from this quality inn be very careful to ask for a copy of your aggrement at the time of check-in so he cant do this to you. read more

Called ahead to save a few rooms last minute due to issues with our original reservation, was told a great price and they had enough space for me and my family. We made sure we understood the price and made our way over. The brunette younger girl helped us and was actually nice, her co-worker was watching her. We verified about 6 times to make sure the price was correct and she said yes everytime. They never offered a copy of the agreement. Their pool is closed which is a disappointment. The rooms were a good size and the breakfast was decent and free, thankfully. We stayed for 3 nights, when it was time to leave they told us the total was 3 TIMES THE ORIGINAL AMOUNT. We were really upset! The lady who originally helped us lied to her co-workers saying she never told us that price. Why would we agree to pay an amount 3X as much? Worse thing is they wouldn't even comp us any amount or give us a discount for their fuck up. Customer service instantly went down and they had horrible attitudes. Don't give this place a chance you will be disappointed. Get your employees trained and give a damn about your customers. read more
