We came for first Rockingham nascar race in 20 yrs so just an overnight stay.. yes it's somewhat noisy but it's right by main highway in and out so really kinda expected. Not terrible. The big gripe i have is there's no elevator.. yes it's only 2 floors but if you have knee issues not good.. wasn't full and if we pushed we prob could have gotten room on ground floor. So the room looked like it was renovated within few yrs.. no carpet thankfully.. bed was ok not very comfy but for one night tolerable. Staff seemed very nice.. there was a small continental breakfast offered with cereal and make own waffles and variety of pastries.. we just wanted juice or coffee. There's a pool on site too early in season to be opened. I didn't see any bugs or issues others saw but still could use a little fixing up.. still not worth the $150 a night.. but we were happy it was close to where we had get on road to go home. read more

Left in the middle of the night. Felt safer in our car! Had to spend one night in the area with my family chose this place online big mistake. Stay far away. Soon after checking in, we all got in bed and a few minutes later, the front desk gentleman knocked on our door at 10 PM And asked us some strange questions about how someone else may have been in our room and if there was anything left in our room when we arrived?! The only thing I noticed left in our room was a bad odor. 10 minutes later two people were pounding on our door yelling to let them in. These people were obviously intoxicated. We called the front desk multiple times since these people would not go away and they were standing outside our door yelling smoking doing God knows what. Finally, the front desk called the police for us to get them to go away. It was like a full horror show. One of the people was missing an eye and several teeth not someone that you would like to speak to in the middle of the night... the next day I called to ask if they felt that they could give us a partial refund or something since it was a very unpleasant and scary situation for us. Their answer is NO! no customer service whatsoever. this place should charge maybe 50 bucks a night. Can't imagine EVER having a restful night here ever. read more

Can't leave a 0 review. The management gave our room away as they figured out that we got a less expensive rate months ago. Now the rates are full price and they are sold out. The desk clerk was a real smart ass. She knew the manager and district manager did not want to be bothered and told us she could not contact them. No wonder why this shit hole has 1.5 stars. Run away Spoke to the manager the next morning. She told me I hurt the desk clerks feelings by asking to speak to the manager. Now they are playing victim. Next the manager will scream RACIST! I warred for a moment about posting a review because since we were only in the room for less than an hour the gentleman at the front desk didn't charge us for our stay nor charge us for canceling on our projected two week stay. My husband is visiting for work. We have stayed at a Quality Inn before. I know not to expect the Ritz. We did, however expect safety and cleanliness. We received neither. I would warn anyone and everyone to not stay at this hotel until it has extensive remodeling to include but not be limited to tearing walls out. This place needs shut down.We booked this room online while traveling , pics looked great. When we pulled in we knew it was a big mistake,Totally run down. After check in we entered our room and it smelled awful. Entered the bathroom toilet is FULL of poop and doesn't work, no shower curtain , door doesn't lock and the room and bedding is dirty / stained up. I go to the front desk , she gives us the last available room that fits our bedding needs. Entered this room , smells atrocious ... you guessed it. Shit in this toilet as well , Huge plunger sitting in the middle of the room Toilet wouldn't flush, poop on toilet seat and lid. Absolutely gross ! I ask to cancel the reservation ( being she said the 2nd room was the last room she had available to fit my needs ) Attendant said I would have to call the next day for a refund and ask for the manager Renee. I did this , she wasn't in ... I called Monday and Thursday no manager still. each time I called they took my name and number and promised a call back ... never happened. I spoke to Raj at one point who admittedly told me they do not have a maintenance man and they are struggling to keep up with the property. We should have slept in our car. After driving 16 hours fleeing Hurricane Milton we were desperate to lay our heads down. To begin with, we were price gouged as they took advantage of literally all motels being booked from Georgia to North Carolina. Then, upon entering the room the SMELL of Fabulosa was completely overpowering like they poured a few gallons which remained on the floor as a dirty sticky residue you would not want to walk on barefoot. Out of shear exhaustion we slept 4 hours and woke up with a bad headache from the smell. The bathroom sink did not drain and the tub and toilet area looked like it had been remodeled by a three year old, and the tub caulking was moldy. THEN, we were told we would be refunded the pet deposit, which they refused to do and told us they never told us they would. The ONLY good thing about the place I can say is the bed and pillows were comfortable. Which doesn't mean a damn thing when you can't breathe because of the odor. This place is absolutely disgusting, blood stains on the bed from bed bugs, the wash rags smelled like mildew so badly, and looked like someone wiped their ass with them, the floor has NEVER seen a broom or mop. When the door is all the way closed the entire bottom was pushed open enough that the crack between the door and frame was about an inch wide, could see outside/inside. When we requested a new room and was given a key to a room that was already occupied. Don't recommend this place AT ALL! It don't even deserve a one star. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Pretty disappointing stay for two nights at the Quality Inn in Rockingham, NC. Twenty minute wait to be checked into our room because no one was at the front desk and when she arrived she was on the phone. Only half a roll of toilet paper with no spare roll, no kleenex either. Sink was slow draining and could not fix drain in tub to take bath. No one came in to refresh the room the next day and when I went to reception I was told no clean towels. This was a pretty terrible place to stay. The bathroom in the lobby was locked and the pool was closed because apparently they've been waiting all summer to have it inspected. The room was damp - the entire floor became wet. Our clothes and shoes were damp when we woke up. When we mentioned the floor was wet, the person at the front desk said it was because we used the heat. We did not use the heat....and not sure why that would matter. We heard another couple complaining about the floor as well, so it sounds like it wasn't unique to us. Also, there was hardly any toilet paper when we got there, and no extra rolls, so we ran out pretty quickly. read more

Definitely not recommended. Area is a little sketchy. Doors go directly outside - huge gap in door. Room was remodeled, but doesn't look like it was done by a professional. Rooms smelled musty. Sleep quality was good. Clean and comfortable, it's what I could ask for after a day of driving. The bathtub was slippery and no safety mat was provided. I ended up standing on a towel in the tub for traction. I'm not sure if this was due to soap scum or a need to refinish the tub. read more

This was a great place to stay for the price. The room was clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The complimentary breakfast had wonderful choices, including eggs, waffles, oatmeal, all kinds of muffins and pastries, and great coffee! I gave it a three because my room key had to be reset every day. Somehow, it became demagnetized, even when I kept it away from my cell phone and other electronic devices. The activity in the evening around the parking lot made me feel unsafe, at times. If there was better security, I would have given it a four. My family and I stayed over night at this property for the Thanksgiving holiday. Less than 24 hours after checking out, we began to experience itching sensations on various body parts. It dawned on us, we were bitten by bed bugs. I notified the hotel manager, Ashley of the bed bugs bites, as well as, we now have them in our house because the bugs got in our clothes and luggage. The hotel manager, stated she would refund our payment for our stay. Needless to say, our home is now infested, therefore, we now have to have our home treated by a professional exterminator to destroy the bed bugs and any eggs laid, wash all our clothes and more. I requested the hotel manager if they were willing to do anything for our inconvenience and added expense we incurred from staying at their property (Quality Inn, Rockingham, NC). She stated they have completely renovated the property, purchased new beds and have had ORKIN at their property to prevent this from occurring to their customers. She contacted the hotel owner to discuss the issue. The hotel owner, response was "We will only refund the 1 night stay, nothing more." Is this how you treat customers? With all the social media and methods of communication with potential future guests/customers, this is your response. The place was noisy at night being right next to red light and people outside your doors. The floors were dirty. It was not carpet but laminate flooring. The door had a huge gap under it that let pretty much everything in- dirt, light, and noise. Staff was so so. Wasn't rude but smiling would not hurt. My wife and I, as well as my parents and sister, were there 4/18-4/21. The staff was courteous and respectful. The toilet in our room was not cleaned well (urine was on the rim of the toilet). There are a lot of men, who I believe are construction workers, that have rooms there. Some of the men hung out right outside of their rooms conversing with one another, some were on their cell phones talking, a few of them were smoking cigarettes. I also saw a few sitting on the ground in front of their rooms. None of the men were disrespectful but one did strike up several conversations with my sister and wife, trying to find out why they were there and where they were from. read more

My daughter and I stayed here for a dance competition. We checked in after 11 pm after advance reservation and payment. All the hotels in town were booked up. The room itself appeared to be clean. The toilet was a different story. The toilet bowl looked like it had cleaned in a few weeks. The vanity also contained hair. I called down immediately and notified the front desk receptionist. I told her that I would be taking pictures. I spoke to the front desk receptionist the following morning who told me that she would be texting the photos to the general manager, Renee Patterson and that she would be contacting me on Monday (that was a Saturday morning). When I didn't hear from her on Monday, I called Tuesday and was told by Ms. Patterson that those were "acrylic stains" on the toilet and if I had problem with the bathroom that I should have checked out of the hotel or the front desk should have come up to clean the bathroom (like I was suppose to know that front desk receptionist clean bathrooms). I asked her that I really should be speaking to the owner because I should be refunded or partially refunded the room. I could not use the bathroom and if we could have gone elsewhere we would have. She told me that owner, Arvind Maheshwari according to public records and owner of several hotels in the area, doesn't speak to guest and would not refunding me any money but may give me some points if I were a choice member. Used wet towels in the bathroom, ants all over the shower, flies everywhere, football sized holes in comforters and worst of all it cost me $150 for one night. All the hotels were booked due to an event including this one (I booked in advance) meaning I couldn't go anywhere else or switch rooms. Staff seemed unfazed by the lack of cleanliness of the room. They didn't send anyone to clean or remove used items left behind by the previous customers. Manager did nothing to fix the problem except for leave a note for the owner with my concerns. No one called to apologize or discount for the horrible experience. it's been a week. I called and was told by the same manager that the owner only comes in on tuesdays. So I waited called tuesday an was told by the same manager that the owner was not there and that she "don't know when their coming back cause she don't come in on Tuesday's all the time." still no response.
