Outside of Franchesca, management is terribly rude and/or unprofessional. It takes them a long time to make repair, & they do them in the most "ghetto" (cheap) way possible. When I saw them painting over black mold, I moved out. Upon moving out they didn't do a walk-through and tried to charge me for ac "repairs" that were due to the mold. So don't expect your deposit to be returned, since they try to nickel and dime everyone for everything in old, run-down apartments. All these bad reviews aren't lies. MOVE IN AT YOUR OWN PERIL!

I believe that Icon Realty was involved in hacking my bank account. I leased an apartment in the heart of las olas/Fort Lauderdale from December 2016, from Atlantic loft llc. I agreed to pay a 2 month security deposit of $2400 as well as first, last and security (pretty standard) got my key, etcétera. After 2 different companies handling our property, ICON Realty came in January 2020 and revamped property by implementing a ***online payment service ***** aka , a way to get into your bank account. I questioned who this is and why I had to use this system to pay, not only to be replied with "It is our new system and you have to use it, you must pay rent this way or consult your attorney" As I went ahead and used it but decided to not renew my upcoming ending lease of 3/30/20. I emailed, texted and explain that I would not be renewing the lease because not only I don't trust the payment system, I had a very difficult time communicating with Benjamin (who by the way runs the whole thing). He ignored all my calls and the ones he replied, he did very rudely. I promptly moved out on schedule and handed him the keys along with my original lease agreement. He took the keys and said that He did not have a refund and I would need to wait 30 days to receive one on the mail. Now 30 days later. My bank account has been HACKED and bank investigated the multiple charges leading back to that January rent payment. I have been getting random withdrawals from different wiring entities totaling over 1k so far. Due to covid19, I can not yet file a claim in court. And the reason I am writing this is to WARN tenants and landlords about companies like this! I am attaching the refund check I just received. What a joke! See you in court.

I've worked with other realtors before and I had just given up hope in ever finding a home for my family. A few years ago I received an eviction letter (or so I was led to believe by my previous landlord) to no fault of my own and it was the worst experience of my life. I had no choice but to rent a room for our family of three while we saved in hopes of renting or eventually buying because this eviction was following me. Most realtors didn't even give me the time of day when I mentioned that I had an eviction and quickly dismissed me saying that it was too difficult and no one would rent to me with one so I stayed in my horrible situation. The first time I spoke to Marilyn , I felt like I was talking to someone whom I've known my entire life and she gave me hope which honestly I thought was all gone. First thing she recommended was doing a background check on myself to see what was on it because when I explained what had happened she told me that she didn't believe I actually got evicted and was led to believe this as a scare tactic by my precious landlord and low and behold it wasn't on there because I legally had never been evicted and this entire time I believed I was. No one had even recommended this option to me and this is how you know Marilyn is special and not like the rest. We started our lengthy process and eventually we found a home we loved, paid the fees and waited for approval from association. Then I got the worst call anyone expects, the unit burned down and I was left gutted and feeling hopeless all over again. Yet Marilyn turned the horrible situation into a positive one with her kind words and always positive attitude. We started the search all over, waited another 45 days and on the due date the association told me I was denied without any further explanation. I called Marilyn in tears because we've been at this for months and I hadn't caught a break. She went to the association following day and somehow by a miracle of God got the decision overturned and finally got an approval. Who else will fight for their client this way? NOONE but HER. She is an angel and a savior to our family. She is a miracle worker and a needle in a haystack. I swear shes going to laugh at this but finding her was like finding a pot of gold. I am blessed to call her a friend now and this is just the beginning of our journey with Abella Real Estate. I can not put into words how above and beyond she will go for you! There is no one else like her! 5 stars is simply not enough! Highly recommend. Best realtor ever!
