Thinly sliced raw fillet mignon with condiments. My other friend had a terrific shrimp salad. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to be here again. The place has been here in the exact same "house" since the year 1470. America wasn't even discovered yet! How cool is that???? If you're anywhere near Dusseldorf I highly recommend a little 10 minute drive out of town to this charming house for a fabulous dinner. They have expanded to have an outdoor terrace in the back that allows smoking however there is no smoking in the restaurant.

For instance, I am normally a salad/veggie eater, but I had an excellent rump steak and loved it! It was made to order with a dollop if Kräuter butter. The side salad and Pommes were also lecker.
