I admit: I forgot to check Yelp on this one. Then we would have been warned.
And as you should have noticed by now, if I cannot write a review of 3 stars or higher, I won't write one. Only this time I have to.
The service was/is horrible.
Immediately the lady taking our order wanted to know what we wanted to eat, when we hadn't even properly had a chance to open the menus, and then she ignored us for the next 10 minutes-- while we were one of two tables.
Then she could not (would not) smile. Not once. Disdain dripped off her shoulders every time she had to interact with us.
We discussed amongst ourselves whether or not we would stay, because her attitude was so offensive. My mother-in-law, who suffered through World War II, was ready to walk out. We managed to talk her into calming down and not taking this personally.
She managed to question our lunch choices and frowned while looking at us.
She almost threw our lunch orders on the table.
We have never been treated this way in a restaurant, and it will not happen to me again. Someone who derives so little pleasure from their customer-oriented job should definitely not work in hospitality.
