We used Pyramid Catering for our wedding caterer and they were so fantastic! They helped put finishing touches on our wedding cake, even though we provided it ourself and they totally didn't have to, it came out so perfect! Everyone was so kind and our guests (and us) had the best time! Huge thank you to Pedro and Kristine for all their work and for giving us such a beautiful event :) read more

Ben, Pedro and Kristine, I want to say a Big thank you for catering our wedding reception last weekend. All the guests said the food was delicious and we all enjoyed it. Thank you Pedro for thinking about every single detail and making sure my expectations were met. Seriously, you even called me a few days before, to make sure the ordered glasses are the right shape. Thanks Kristine for taking your time to stop by the venue ahead of time and come up with the plan where to place the food table etc. You did the best job leading the catering event and I appreciate you taking care of myself and Brian during the reception. The whole experience working with you guys was top notch! Ben, you've built a great team! read more

To be clear, I am not a customer of Pyramid, rather a guest at a recent event. Overall, they seemed to do a decent job, and the servers were very pleasant. What appeared to be the on-site leaders were less impressive. They were stressed, were challenged to keep food on the buffet after half the attendees went through, were yelling loudly from the buffet line as guests were wincing and turning an ear away, and just a bit too abrupt for a wedding environment. None of the food overly impressed me, although some was decent, like the salmon. What appeared to be bbq chicken was so over cooked, I couldn't get it down with a glass of water. Lots of great reviews here, so not looking to take away from the great experiences people have had. Based on my experience, I have a higher bar. Good, not great. read more

Catered our daughter's wedding at the Normandy Park Cove. Food and presentation were both fantastic and reasonably priced.

Pyramid was chosen from our previous venue's pre-approved catering list. We loved the Pacific Rim dinner at the tasting, and we were impressed with Ben's knowledge and experience with planning weddings and other large events. He was very responsive and great at providing suggestions for the event schedule and alternatives to menu items. Sadly, our original venue, the UW Botanical gardens, had to cancel on us with about a month left until the wedding due to covid-19 restrictions at UW. We were fortunately able to find a new venue at Dunn Gardens. Ben was so flexible and accommodating. Though Pyramid had less experience with Dunn, he ensured that his team had a plan for the day of. The operations and logistics manager Pedro personally went to the new venue to survey it and plan the layout for our day right away! We received a new catering workbook shortly afterwards from Pedro. Pedro was fantastic! The catering workbook he made was practically flawless! He was patient in explaining what I needed to do as the client, such as ordering a banquet license, paying separately for renting the toasting glasses, etc. He was very organized and efficient! The food was also fantastic! Everyone at our wedding loved it! The chicken with the chutney was very popular. We were able to accommodate both our gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian guests with the tasty menu! All the staff were very organized and efficient. They were so helpful, and really made sure that our wedding ran smoothly! We could not have asked for a better experience! I highly recommend them! Photo credit: Andy Pinnell at Studio 517 read more

We had a great experience working with Pyramid Catering as our wedding caterer. We chose the Northwest Buffet, and it was a really big hit at our wedding! We got so many compliments on the food, and my husband and I are still dreaming of the bowtie pasta and the salmon. The catering staff were really professional as well. Ben, Michael, and the whole team were very responsive and fun to work with. They are flexible and willing to work with your budget and needs. We especially loved our tasting dinner with Ben as we got to know him and the company better. As far as Seattle caterers go, we thought they were really reasonably priced, especially given the quality of food and service. Definitely recommend checking them out. read more

We used Pyramid Catering for our wedding...17 years ago! The food was so good we reminisce about it and recently called Ben to pass along our complements. He was not only so kind and friendly on the phone, but even offered to make some of our favorite risotto cakes for our anniversary! They are still as amazingly yummy as we remember. After our wedding, multiple people told us the food was some of the best they've had. If we ever renew our vows, we know who we will turn to for catering. Great food; great hearts. read more

If there was an option for a higher rating than five stars, I would give it. Our wedding reception was comprised of a two story historic location and had many elements that were handled like clock work by Pyramid Catering. We were personal friends with almost all of our other vendors, so hiring catering was something I thought would be stressful, however it couldn't have been easier. Ben and his whole staff, servers & bartenders, made our day so very special! Ben went above and beyond with his guidance and advice through the food planning and even with planing details unrelated to food. His flexibility and promptness made the whole process much less stressful than I had anticipated. I have to tell you that not only have our guests been telling us that the food was amazing, but that it was the best they've ever had at a wedding! The servers helped everyone have a good time, were thoughtful, very friendly and very professional. I couldn't have hand picked a better group. It's one thing for guests to rave about decor of how great the food was but when they are telling me how nice, fun, outgoing professional the staff was... I was even more impressed. They catered to husband and I, and I am very thankful for that but the red carpet treatment was extended to our guests in the same fashion and made a huge impact on the experience everyone had. We had multiple people are coming up to find me and tell me how nice the servers and bartenders were and how much they loved the food from appetizers to all of the options and presentation. Completely didn't expect that and am overjoyed that it happened. I can't thank them enough. I would highly recommend your to anyone who is looking for a stellar experience with their event of any size. read more

We cannot recommend Pyramid catering enough after having them cater our wedding. First Pedro was fantastic to work with. He is so quick to respond, thorough, and was great at making recommendations when we weren't sure what we wanted. He was one of our favorite vendors to communicate with out of everyone for our wedding. We were also so happy with the food. We had a buffet dinner for 200 people and they did a great job of getting everyone through the buffet quickly. And not only did we think the food tasted great, but had multiple guests tell us how fantastic the food was. We also had a decent amount of people with food restrictions and they were able to help us create a menu that accommodated most people and they made a special plate for one guest who had many food restrictions. And last, their bar service was amazing. We provided the alcohol and their bartenders mixed 2 cocktails for us and served beer and wine. We received so many compliments about the bartenders. We highly recommend Pyramid catering and are very grateful they were there for our wedding. read more

We chose Pyramid to cater our daughter's wedding. Honestly, we could not be more pleased. Start to finish they exceeded expectations. First of all, the food was outstanding. We had SO many compliments about the food. 60 plus people shared nothing but positives. 4 vegan people marveled about the quinoa stuffed sweet potatoes. Equally important, the people were great. My daughter (the bride) just mentioned that she hugged Pedro because she was so pleased with how things had gone. Their bid was the most competitive of the 3 we considered. In every way they earned a 5 out of 5. read more

We couldn't have been happier and more appreciative of Pyramid's exellent job at our wedding! Thank you Ben and staffs! Pyramid catered our 165 people wedding in Tacoma Union Station in July this year, and the food and customer service couldn't have been better! Note that the venue doesn't have a kitchen, so Ben had to rent 2 ovens and a tent to cook outside of the premise, and yet delivered a great meal to my guests EVERYONE LOVED THE FOOD!! We really appreciate the level of professionalism they deliver as a team! I have met with a few catering teams prior, and none of them have come closed to Pyramid's standards, in terms of food taste, and customer service. I didn't have a chance to thank Ben personally on my wedding day, and would like to publicly thank him and the Pyramid team here. Without you guys, we wouldn't have had the perfect wedding! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Tracy & Kenny read more

I am hooked! Pyramid Catering is amazing and Andy and Anna were spectacular. They made everything happen from making it possible to eat on the deck up until the thunder and lightening hit, preparing the bar and making drinks for way too many people in cramped spaces, manipulating huge amounts of delicious food through all those people and leaving my house as if nothing had happened. Because of all your services, our celebration of my husband was a night to remember. read more

Pyramid catered our wedding and it was an ideal experience. We went before hand to try out what we wanted for our day and we made some substitutes without any issues. They are incredibly communicative and easy to work with. They are incredibly affordable and honestly should be charging double to triple. We had so many compliments from people such as "This is the best food I've ever had at a wedding" etc. They are flexible, professional, and came all the way to Edmonds to cater our wedding. Their staff were great and fun. We had leftover food for a whole month! Highly recommend! read more

Absolutely loved what Pyramid Catering did for our wedding!!! We originally met with Ben for our tasting, and loved the food. Then leading up to the wedding we worked with Michael, and he was amazing. Organized, detail-oriented, and super helpful in coordinating what we wanted with the venue and the staff. And the food was delicious!!! We had a barbecue buffet (pulled pork, chicken, salmon) and all the guests were raving about the food. I arrived to the reception to find everything set up perfectly without any questions, and the appetizers and dinner was right on cue. Thank you so much for everything!!! read more

We used Pyramid Catering for my daughters wedding on 5/30. It was not a 5 star event because the food they delivered was not what she spent 7 months planning for! When the appetizers started coming out we noticed a problem because all 3 appetizer were completely wrong! When we checked the rest of buffet offerings we found the pasta dish, the potato dish and the beef dish were all incorrectly prepared and the fish dish was completely wrong! On the plus side the buffet chicken dish, the green salad, veggie and fruit salad were all correct and the late evening snacks were all correct and delicious! The kitchen staff, the servers and bar staff were excellent in all aspects of our event from start to finish! When we first started taking with Ben about the problems with the food that we ended up with, his comment to my daughter was that he does 250 event a year and sometimes this happens and he was sorry that it happened to her on her special day! We were able tp reach a reasonable refund accommodation to our satisfaction and without much drama! I only hope that Pyramid Catering and Ben have learned from this BAD experience because we sure have! read more

This review is for the service that I've received from Pyramid Catering. I am planning a wedding in 5 months and really wanted to use a catering company that I picked instead of picking a venue with in-house catering (with subpar food). I feel like it gives us more flexibility with the menu and the quality is higher. I contacted Ben Jablonsky (owner) to RSVP for their open house. He replied promptly and sounded very friendly on his email. Even before the open house, he contacted me to ask about the food that I want for the wedding and my vision (Nobody has asked me that before!). I told him the food that I want (we're both foodies so we want really good food) and also told him that being Asian, we want our "cultural" food there. He was so receptive of my ideas and even knew some of the traditional Filipino food that's always in weddings. He was also fast to give us a quote for the food that we want and it's soooo much more reasonable and affordable than in-house catering (coz in-house catering knows that if you're in love with their venue, their food can be sub-par and expensive and you'll just have to suck it up) The problem I ran into is finding a space that allows outside catering. This is the only reason why we didn't end up booking with his company. When I told him that, he helped look for event locations for us. There really wasn't much with the time, so we did end up doing our wedding in a venue with in-house catering. (we found one with great food!) Despite not tasting his food, I fully recommend Pyramid catering. By the way Ben runs his business, I'm sure that he will cater to whatever you want to make your day a special one. And really, when there are so many things you need to do for your wedding, having someone like Ben on your side makes things easier. Good luck Ben! I hope to work with you in the future. read more

I used Pyramid Catering to cater my wedding in September of 2011. They had some good points and some bad. Good: The food was good, hands down. I had lots of out of town guests that were really impressed, saying that this wasn't "wedding food," which is pretty awesome. It was fairly inexpensive as well, although I didn't do too much comparing/ price checking. Bad: Be ready to discuss everything down to the penny. I wanted a caterer to simplify the occasion- I was looking at it as a big party. I communicated that several times with the owner, Ben, especially when we were talking about alcohol ordering. My family and friends drink a lot. This was all communicated, but Ben still only staffed one person. The bar line was steady and long the whole night. Additionally, Ben was really easy to get a hold of to communicate with before booking, but after booking, it took him over a month to send us some papers (like the alcohol purchase guidelines) that he had promised by the end of the week. He was very busy, and I think that took a toll on his ability to remember the type of event I was describing (loud, lots of people, lots of drinks. We're Irish). Overall, can't complain about the food at all, but working with Ben requires some patience. read more

Ben, Emily, and the Pyramid Catering Team went above and beyond with their outstanding service! Ben helped us with planning things that went beyond food and drinks - venue set up, timeline, etc. On the day of, the Pyramid Team helped to clean up things that they weren't responsible for - even going so far as to transport something that belonged to us, not them, after the reception was over. There were several things on the day-of that they "upgraded" without telling us, or charging us, and the catering staff was friendly and professional, never in the way. To be clear, the food was good (several guests went out of their way to say so) and presented well, but it wasn't a five-star restaurant (but hey, for the price, it was great). They even packaged up some food and cake for us to take back to the hotel. These people know their business and take care of their customers! read more

I used Ben and his team for our wedding a few years ago and guests are still raving about the food. When I got put in charge of the holiday party for work, I called them up again, and once again, they delivered. About 5 minutes before the party was scheduled to start, the power went out and did not come back on for the rest of the night (gotta love December in WA). We were lucky that the venue had a large fireplace as well as a grill out back. The caterers were able to cook/reheat all the sides over the fireplace and cook the meat on the grill. Everything turned out great and the food was just as good as I remembered. We were all impressed by their dedication and ingenuity to make our party a success. I highly recommend Pyramid Catering for your next event. read more

Thank you Pyramid for making my big day absolutely perfect! When I spoke with the owner Ben, he was so personable and friendly. Our experience with Pyramid Catering for our wedding was excellent and we would recommend their catering services. From our initial inquiry Ben was always very responsive and he quickly prepared a preliminary quote for us. Before and after hiring Pyramid we were able to attend tastings where we sampled some of their offerings. This made creating a specific menu for our reception very easy since we knew exactly what we were getting. Michael also worked with us to set up our catering workbook and rentals and provided guidance on reception setup. On the wedding day the food was fantastic and their staff did an excellent job with the entire catering experience. Overall we were very satisfied with Pyramid and feel they are a great choice for the price. read more

Our experience with Pyramid Catering was positive from start to finish. They provided food and bartending services for our wedding in April and everything was perfect. We chose our favorite buffet menu off the website and then changed 2 or 3 of the entrees to agree more with my vegetarian diet. Pyramid was willing to change anything we wanted on the menu, which was very nice. We attended two of their open houses before our event for a chance to taste a lot of their best menu items and decide whether we wanted to include those items at our wedding. The open houses were always enjoyable and the food was always delicious! Come wedding day, there were two things that stuck out in my mind. One was when I had come inside to sit down (sitting is rare when you're the bride) while everyone else was still enjoying the sunny weather outside. I was slouching on the couch and looking nervous, I'm sure, for the upcoming ceremony. The bartenders were in the same room setting up for the cocktail hour and asked if I needed a drink (alcoholic or otherwise). It was so thoughtful of them, especially because they stopped what they were doing to make sure I was happy. Two was after we went through the buffet line and I was about to go upstairs to the reception hall. One of Pyramid's staff kindly asked if she could carry my plate for me so that I could walk up the stairs in my wedding dress without spilling on myself. That was completely unexpected and so awesome! The rest of the night was flawless and I never heard any complaints about the service or the food. In fact, everyone I talked to said the food was great! Thank you Pyramid! read more

We hired Pyramid Catering for our baby shower being hosted at our house and they were so amazing! The team was able to accommodate their menu to our Cinco de Mayo themed baby shower and the food was delicious! We had two staff members during the event and they made sure that the food stayed warm, beverages were fully stocked, trash cans were emptied, and plates/cups were picked up. At the end of the event, they cleaned everything up and took the trash with them which was a lifesaver because we had no room in our trash can after the baby shower. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an experienced caterer in the area! read more

Wow...I cannot thank Ben and the Pyramid Staff enough! They catered our wedding reception. The prices are excellent, which was our biggest criteria. The menu was amazing! There is a reason why all but one person gave this company 5 stars. The food, the staff, the service, their attitudes; everything they did was amazing. We had a mix of carnivores and vegetarians at our event and everyone walked away saying how amazing the food tasted, and we had some serious foodies at our wedding. They were so flexible when we got there day of and had to completely redesign the layout because of the dj. It was no sweat for them. And once they got there, I walked away and left it all in their hands because it was apparent that they knew exactly what my level of quality was and the quickness it needed to be done. We have not had them cater our wedding reception yet (we got married in March 2010, just haven't had the reception and ceremony yet due to the Navy) but we've booked and attended their open house, and they are FABULOUS! The first time we made contact, I made an appointment for food tasting at their office with Ben, the owner. I forgot to mention on my email that there would be 4 of us coming so on the way there I called him. He told me that he wasn't expecting 4 people so we would have to share so we said, oh of course, it's no big deal. Turned out, we couldn't even finish any of the dishes he served us, there were PLENTY of food and all of them were delicious and affordable! We signed the contract on the spot. Fast forward about 6 months later, we got an invitation to attend their open house. We were pleasantly surprised to see how cute it was, he set it up so that it would look like a restaurant/small reception and to show us that the food is still fabulous even though it was brought to the venue. He presented 3 different buffets with passed appetizers and the food, once again, surprised us. It was SO good! Ben even remembered us, which was very nice to know and he is such a pleasant person to work with. I am looking forward to have him cater our wedding in July (this review is written in May) and I will update this later read more

We utilized Ben and his professional team for our non-profit organization's Fall Vision Banquet this past weekend. We decided on Pyramid Catering because they were a lot more reasonable price wise, but also came with some stellar reviews. Ben was super easy to work with, professional, friendly, and offered a delicious range of food options for a very good price compared to other catering outfits in the region. His staff was on time, courteous, and great to work with. Several people at our event came up to me and raved about the quality and presentation of the food. Many wanted to know who we were using as they too were non-profit organizational leaders themselves who were on the lookout for good event catering options. I couldn't recommend Ben & Pyramid more eagerly/highly. Our experience with them was top-notch! Thank you, Ben Jablonsky and your excellent team! read more

I cannot say enough about how phenomenal Ben and his staff were. Ben had catered a friend's wedding last year and we were so impressed by the quality of the dinner menu at that wedding that we knew we wanted to have him cater our wedding. When we contacted him and shared that we wanted to do 'breakfast for dinner' at our evening wedding, we gave him all of the creative freedom to put together a menu without any input from us. What he came up with was AMAZING and DELICIOUS. We were blown away at our tasting by pork belly & egg sliders, maple cayenne bacon, steak breakfast burritos, lox & cream cheese, and so many other delicious items. At our tasting we also realized that Ben is basically a wedding planner - he designed the table layout for our event based on the actual venue space, had all of our linen color options as well as glassware, flatware and silverware ready to choose that very day. We built out a sample table setting and were really able to begin envisioning our wedding. He also let us provide our own alcohol for our wedding which was a huge savings. The staff who was on site for our wedding was led by Rita, s an absolute joy & incredibly professional. She came the day before the wedding to set up all of the table cloths and napkins and we were able to work out additional logistics together since our head count changed the week leading up to our wedding (190 guests). On the day of the wedding she was sure to bring us plates of food to make sure we ate, our champagne glasses early for toasts and made a game time call to break down the buffet early enough for toasts to begin without breaking down tables while they were happening. She was so thoughtful and we were so lucky to have her there running the show. Plus, the food was AMAZING and our guests absolutely LOVED it. We had rave reviews all throughout the evening. I would highly recommend Pyramid Catering to anyone out there looking for a professional, friendly, flexible and organized caterer. read more

When I was looking for a caterer for my brother's celebration of life event, there were few that would return my phone calls or respond to rfqs. Ben responded promptly was was extremely easy to work with and helpful. I had very specific plans in mind and Ben was able to accommodate every detail. On day of the event Ben's 3 staff were excellent. They handled everything without me having to direct or manage anything. From set up to clean up they were great. The food was very good and we had plenty of leftovers. The only negative is that Pyramid doesn't have an alcohol license, so I had to order from Bev Mo, but that probably saved me money. read more

Went with Ben and his team for our wedding reception. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We got a many compliments on how great food was. We wanted a lot of custom things to happen with the menu so went with the bid that we thought could best accommodate our requests. They were very open to working with us and making everything we wanted happen. On the event night, due to the teams lack of familiarity with the venue there were a couple of minor hiccups with the staff knowing the inventory well and moving equipment (tables, etc) out of the venue. I would say overall though, i would recommend their services and would use them again, but just making sure they are familiar and comfortable with the venue and venue rules. read more

I can't say enough about Pyramid Catering. We used them for our July wedding and I honestly don't think I could have done it without them. I planned my wedding from Virginia so had to go on faith more often than not, luckily I found Ben and his amazing company. Not only was he very patient with my many menu changes, but he also designed the set up, ordered the rentals and coordinated with the venue. On the actual day, I literally did nothing. His staff took care of absolutely everything, even helped my DOC with the decorations. My husband and I attribute 99% of the overwhelming success of the day to him and his team. Now, as for the food. I will be honest and say I don't really remember much about it. I was distracted... But I have heard nothing but amazing things from guests including the 10 - 12 professional chefs we had in attendance. And there strong approval is more than enough for me. To sum up, one of the best choices I made was Pyramid and I can't thank them enough for making our day so special. read more
