We loved visiting Puttery in The Colony. It is a very busy area and the night we were there a concert was going on outside on the green. We did have to park across the street on the other side of Scheels but, that wasn't so bad. Our group had reservations and got there early enough to get a table for everyone so we were able to order food before putt-putt. We order several appetizers, three different types of bruschetta, sliders and pan fried dumplings and all were delicious. The staff was hustlin and getting food and drinks out pretty quick. We had so much fun!! We started on the balcony for a quick round before our tee time. Our drinks here tasted as good as they looked. The holes were challenging without being too hard. The holes have their own selection of drinks. Our server checked on us as we entered but we still had our drinks from the balcony. By the time we were ready to order more drinks, we didn't see her. We had to sit at the end of putt putt to order the drinks we selected this course for. Once we had them, we headed back to the balcony. We were lucky enough to get the same server, Emeka, which I really appreciate with having food allergies that he remembered them. Puttery is a 9 hole adults only indoor mini golf course with four different courses. Each courses specialty drinks that can only be purchased on that course. There are two bars one located on each level and outdoor seating located on the top. I recommend if you're visiting on the weekend to book your reservation online ahead of time. If not, then be prepared to wait. Each reservation can hold up to six people, so if you have more than six you will have to split your party. I love this place so much! The Puttery has 3 themed courses: Illusion, Library and Mountain Ski Lodge. We bought tickets to Mountain Ski Lodge and had such a great time. First off, you can enter your scores electronically on the tablets at each hole and it automatically moves your group's scores to the next whole once everyone's scores are entered. It's also difficult enough to make you work and think but easy enough that it's not impossible to complete. You get the option to order themed drinks on each course and these drinks are not available on any other menus. You can also order food and drinks off the course as they have a restaurant/bar area. Tip: use the valet service to save time on parking. This place has a cool, artsy vibe with loud hip hop music playing in the background. It feels like a mix between a lounge, club, and party spot. We paid for the mini golf pass, which allows you to play all night, even if you leave and come back. We started with some food-wings, pizza, fries, burgers, etc. While nothing was exceptional, everything met our expectations. The drink menu has a good variety, and the waitstaff were attentive, even taking drink orders while we played mini golf. There are 4-5 different mini golf courses, each with a unique theme. We had a blast, though there were lines, so expect some waiting on weekend nights. Overall, it's a great place to meet up with friends. My husband and I were so looking forward to trying the Dallas Puttery. We love the concept - but the reality was more than a few strokes over par... It is busy and one can expect to wait. Now at Grandscape there are no shortages of places to have a bite to eat or a few drinks while waiting for your tee-time, but expect to wait 60-90 minutes for your turn if you did not reserve a time ahead of time. It's expensive...both the admission and the drinks. The room courses are 9 holes each, not the traditional 18 holes. And while the holes vary in difficulty, they are all kind of crammed together. They offer drink service on the courses, but with them being so short it was easier to overpay for the drinks at the separate bar in between the rooms. The patrons were more of an under 30 crowd who maybe are okay with overpaying for an activity that offers lots of "Grammable" photo ops. But The Puttery is too much of an expensive novelty for us...we are glad we tried it, but we won't be back. read more

Well I wanted so badly to like this place. My expectations were a bit too high. First, the prices were not correct on the website. So that was confusing. Second, the menu is super lackluster. I will say I don't know if that's because we came at the lunch hour and it may be different at dinner, but there was not much to choose from. Third, our waitress seemed super distracted. And all the other employees we encountered seemed aloof as well. It took us 10 minutes to get ketchup from her for the fries we ordered. Then we had to ask a random employee to find her for us so we could pay. It was NOT busy so she was not consumed with other tables. There's no one at the course to bring you drinks, and you also won't even get your own club to use while you play, so please plan on sharing with your party. The staff is inattentive and don't even tell you where to go or how the experience even works. Bathrooms are crowded by long lines so good luck trying to use them. We wanted to love this place, but we weren't even allowed to enjoy a cocktail because there was no one there to take our order. Hard pass. Go anywhere else. read more

I love the idea of being able to do fun activities without a bunch of kids around. Don't get me wrong, kids are great, but sometimes it's nice to be surrounded by adults only. Since Puttery is a 21+ place, this fits the bill. I went with a group of colleagues for an after-work dinner and activity. We had a table reserved, along with a couple of swinging chairs that we neglected to use until we were leaving. My colleague and I made sure to sit in them for a minute before we left. You know, to get the whole experience. The food was pretty good-some fancy pizzas and charcuterie boards; definitely a few notches above what you'd get at a kid-friendly place. I saw no mass produced food or gross chicken nuggets, thank God. There was plenty to go around and at the end of the night we had a little more than we were able to eat. Or maybe everyone was trying to be polite and not scarf down everything in front of them. The drinks were pretty expensive and only ok. One of my colleagues sent her white wine back when it was delivered to her warm. And another sent his beer back because it had an odd taste. The drinks that were on the menu for the mini golf were unique and served in fun containers (check out the white gummy), but were a bit sweet for my taste. They were also pretty pricey. The course was the best part of the night. There are digital scorecards that are very easy to use and follow you around as you complete your game. Each hole had different theming and was not only fun (and challenging) to play, but aesthetically pleasing. I especially love the cloud bench-if you pose just right, it looks like you are floating in the sky. If I find myself planning a group activity when I am in town again, I'll happily return to Puttery. read more
