Out of pure frustration, I decided that before I gave the game of golf up for good, I would take…read moreone last shot at fixing my game. I used to be an average golfer (12 handicap) and just loved playing. Now, I am not so sure. Poor shots are a given when you're just average but now they seem to be more common, affecting the confidence mechanisms in the brain. I wanted to just stop the pain and was just not enjoying it anymore. I heard about Golftec and thought I would give it a go. Now it is not cheap but I have to say it is very effective. Considering the overall investment in the game itself, it really isn't that much. My instructor, Connor, is awesome. I do not feel awkward and almost immediately he changed a few simple things and I started striking the ball better. I am keen again so go e it a go.

There's also heaps of cardio machines as well. For some reason it does not come up when I search for 'gyms' which should be fixed since this place is exactly what I'm looking for when I put that search in.

There are two hot tubs as well, and also a waterslide and a kids play pool. Strangely, no sauna or steam room, which is strange because the place is huge and has about everything else. Good sized fitness rooms (two levels) with a standard assortment of free weights, racks, benches and machines, and a smattering of bikes and rowing machines and treadmills. Layout is a bit awkward and poorly thought out, but really that's a first world problem because the place is well equipped. There is an indoor walking /running track and a gymnasium, both of which I had a glance at and looked nice, but which I did not actually use. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good place, overall.

Have seen improvements in the rooms from when they first started to their new rooms and location. Was presently surprised by how much we loved "It Lives" - definitely a must check out room. The VR is also well set up (although I always wish VR stations would be closed off so you can't be seen by strangers but this is a standard in VR) when we played VR and were the only ones in for a station the worker (owner?) even gave us extra time to play! Deadlock seems to be helping out in the community and does great work with other businesses. If you are into Horror and scares I definitely recommend checking out Deadlock as I have heard great things about their horror rooms, they are just not my style! :P

I quite like their poutines; it's more on the salty side which I like and the portion fits the price but I always have left over cause it's still a big one Tonight, I tried their boneless chicken poutine which is essentially Buffalo chicken on poutine. I kinda wish they named it that so people would know what flavour to expect. Tbh, I thought it was going to be plain crispy chicken bites so the Buffalo sauce part threw me off. It still tastes good but I wasn't in the mood for hot sauce. I did ask the cashier what type the boneless chicken were and she did say it's like the boneless wings but since I never had their wings, I didn't realize it was Buffalo flavoured. Since it is at a hockey rink, the floor is quite cold so the food gets cold much quicker too which is a downside but I get great view of the hockey games and the service is always friendly. Overall, I enjoy coming here for food and to watch the games!
