History

Established in 2013.

Pursue Wellness For You was born out of a passion for helping people discover what being well can feel like. My interest in nutrition and the effect of food on the body was kindled when I discovered while homeschooling my sons that my middle son was displaying ADD tendencies. I didn't want to have him diagnosed and be pressured to put him on medication, so I searched for alternate approaches. After reading Dr. Feingold's materials, I decided to test his theory and removed artificial colors and flavors from our family's diet. Within two weeks my son was almost a different child, and I was hooked. After finishing our homeschool endeavors with the graduation of the youngest, I decided to return to school for further training as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. It is tremendously rewarding to see how people's lives change when they adjusting their eating and lifestyle patterns to support their bodies. YOU can experience this too!

Meet the Business Owner: Kelly L.

Growing up as the daughter of a Marine Corps pilot, Kelly experienced life in many parts of the U.S. and Europe. She married an Army officer and completed her training as a CPA, but later chose to leave the office to stay home and raise their three sons. As the second entered school, Kelly embarked on a 19-year journey of homeschooling the boys through high school graduation, discovering the effect of food on the body in the midst of this journey. After the last graduation, Kelly decided to pursue further study in integrative nutrition, and was certified as a health coach in 2013. She founded Pursue Wellness to be able to share her knowledge and passion with others in their pursuit of wellness.
