Puregold groceries have been sprouting all over the metro lately and I, for one, am not complaining. I like being able to buy the odd-forgotten ingredient without having to contend with parking and long lines at the mall. I did notice that Puregold's prices are a bit more expensive than other big chain supermarkets - for instance, a liter of fresh milk is about a peso more expensive here compared to Cherry Foodarama --- but there are days when you are willing to pay a few pesos more in exchange for convenience. I like that Puregold groceries are often much less crowded compared to others, especially if you go in the mornings or noon on a weekday. On these occasions, it's heaven to be able to browse the shelves at your leisure without having to maneuver around other carts. Best of all, no frustratingly long queues at the cashier
