Best Coffee and coffee shop in the area! I've never felt comfortable going into the other place, but I do here! They are in the know about pour-overs and also helping those who need something in their coffee minus the dairy. You really can't tell the difference, other than they start with great coffee from Cinci! But, they really know their coffee well and are reasonably priced! They also hooked up with a local farmers bakery to bring delicious desserts and muffins. They have a pretty good selection of gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan muffins/dessert. I don't go anywhere else for those! They even have a coffee bar to watch them make coffee or if you're by yourself to feel welcomed, as well as various other types of seats for groups! read more

This place has really nice atmosphere. Their hours are better than the overwhelming majority of local coffe shops which seem to close way too early. The coffee is a bit pricey, but I have no complaints about the quality. They also have a good selection of delicious pastries and other items that you'd want to eat while having a good coffee. I tried the homemade strawberry pop tarts twice, and they were the perfect accompaniment to their great coffee. If you love coffee, this place is worth a weekly or daily visit. read more

Not very friendly place. "Hipster-esque" very clean and nice interior though. The coffee was very blah, I don't even want to drink it to be honest... does NOT taste mocha or sweet. Ridiculously small too. Waste of time and money. Go to the Winans coffee place down the street, it's amazing. read more

This is my favorite place to get coffee, anywhere! The decor is terrific, the coffee is the best I've ever had, & the service is always friendly. I've developed quite the extravagant habit of an almost daily latte, frequently accompanied by locally made "pop tarts" & other yummy baked goods. Well worth a try! This is the most modern coffee shop I've ever been in. We have used their coffee cart for PTO events at my daughters school and they are always easy to work with. After I became acquainted through the coffee cart I started to go in for a coffee every once in a while when I wanted to treat myself. This coffee shop is so top notch and modern it would thrive in a large city like Chicago, NYC, or LA in my opinion. The decor is so awesome. I just love the atmosphere. I get the hipster coffee shop model and this place doesn't disappoint. But I'm just a gal looking for a coffee my way and would love skim milk in a latte and not being brow beat into oat milk. I tried it, paid too much for it, and then threw it away bc it wasn't for me. Not their fault. The vibe here just isn't me. You may love it. I've enjoyed going to Purebred Coffee over the last two years since I moved to Troy, OH. They put a different and flavorful twist on a cup of coffee. I normally just enjoy a traditional cup of black coffee but when I visit Purebred I can't help but try one of their creations. A friend and I went for their soft launch and really enjoyed their coffee and scones! They were personable, the coffee was tasty, and the blueberry lemon scone was the perfect density and combination of sour-sweetness. I'm allergic to dairy and got the macadamia milk instead of cow's, and it separated in the drink, but you couldn't see it for the crema art on top of the coffee. I am not from the area but this place was recommended by some friends. The coffee was really good but I am undecided about the service. The baristo came across as condescending and kind of rude is how I took it. I was in there with my two adult daughters and he kept making jokes about my daughters babysitting me. I don't know if he thought this was funny or if he was making fun of me because I am elderly. Either way, I found it offensive. Yes, I am pushing 60 but I don't need a babysitter. I work 2 jobs and I still drive and tend to my own needs. To me, it was as if he was questioning my functioning ability and right to be in a coffee shop. One of the daughters whom I had with me is in remission from stage 4 cancer and I recently lost my father who suffered a decade from Alzheimer's. So there are some people out there who need aides or a babysitter as he called it. What if I had Alzheimer's or another disability? Maybe it was just a lighthearted joke but it kind of dampened our experience. read more
