This weekend I finally got annoyed enough with my brows to schedule a wax. I made an appointment at Venus based on all the good reviews. I was able to schedule my appointment online which was very easy and great for an introvert. The morning of the appointment my fur baby was sick, so I cancelled my wax appointment an hour beforehand. They rescheduled me for an afternoon appointment the same day - lifesavers! Nicole did my brow wax and shape. She is super friendly and did a wonderful job. My brows look great! She trimmed, waxed, and then plucked. Others tell me that my brows don't need to be shaped or waxed, and it is easy to overdo it. Nicole took care of all the stray hairs, kept a beautiful shape, and they look very natural. I will tell everyone to come here for a wax. The spa and salon look nice and clean. It's a very cute atmosphere. I will probably schedule a massage here in the coming months.

Let me say, when it comes to getting a good hair cut, I believe I am cursed. Seriously. 80% of the time, I am dissatisfied with the work done. From barbers to salons, it's more miss than hit. I try to convey my expectations as simple as possible, and the results are typically me wondering if the tech even heard me. Ha ha... SO, this brings me back to why I am leaving this review. Halya listened and asked questions along the way, being certain she was doing what I was looking for. I have medium length hair and with my hair type, it can be hard to style as I like. Keeping this in mind, Halya makes suggestions and isn't afraid to counter my opinion to achieve the desired results. I went back for a second hair cut last week, which solidified my thoughts of my first experience. Due to Halya's attention to detail and desire to get it right (and ability to accomplish that result), I will keep going back for her service. There are many places I could go that are much closer to me, but I'd rather save myself the time and drive further to have the job done right the first time, correctly. As for cost, it is very reasonable. When I consider the end results I get here, it is a great value. I can pay the bill, give a 75% tip and still feel great about the experience.
