I never thought there'd be a day where I'd head to a mall to get a mammogram, but that's what Pure Mammography offers. Walking in, it was more spa like vs doctor's office, and even had spa music playing, which immediately makes you feel calmer about what you are about to do. The staff was friendly and the whole thing just seemed too easy, I was wondering if it was real. During Covid the experience may be a bit different. There were markers on the floor when you entered to ensure you didn't stand too close to someone. I should note there was only 1 other person there for an appointment when I was there. There was also a hand sanitizer dispenser by the front desk. Employees and techs wore masks. The waiting area had screens in between the chairs to ensure you were safe while you waited. I waited less than 5 minutes, which is pretty unheard of in the mammography world. If you know, you know. I was brought into a lovely changing room to put on my spa robe; no medical gown here. Then after another few minutes the tech came to get me to bring me into the test room. The room had calming nature pictures showing to keep that spa feel going. There was also another hand sanitizer dispenser by outside the testing room. I got my results in less than 2 weeks, but had to go back in for an additional screening. Appointments are easy to get, not sure if that is because of the pandemic or not, but was able to schedule something only a couple of days out which is so nice. The staff was just as wonderful the second time around and I was brought into a changing room as soon as I checked in. A new report was sent to my doctor that evening and all was good (although 2 days later and I haven't received a call from them which seems odd). Pure Mammography may not be the norm for mammograms, but it should be as it makes the experience so much more tolerable and less stressful. read more

Best place ever! They are a professional company that cares about women's health. In all my years i have been going for mammograms i am always waiting at least 2 hours. Well i found this place i was amazed. All i needed was my insurance card and the best part i was in and out with in 20 min. The staff are amazing they always greet you with a smile and always call you to remind you of your appointment. The atmosphere is like you are at a spa. This is the best place to get a mammogram! There is no waiting, they take walk-ins, and you are in a shopping mall. The facilities are run by Radiological Arts, where I had mammos for over twenty years, but Pure Mammography is a far superior facility. There are snacks, beverages, a lovely waiting room, a plush robe and a wonderful staff to make an unpleasant experience actually very tolerable. I need a yearly sonogram, and they do that, too. They can get all your previous records, wherever they are. It is also the perfect place for a first mammogram. I'm never going anywhere else! Let me start by making it clear.... I Did Not Get a Mammogram. This review is based on my wife's experience here. She was never concerned about breast cancer always saying that it didn't run in her family so she wasn't concerned. Well it turned out it hit her family. Her younger sister was diagnosed with breast cancer, and a short time later her cousin was diagnosed. Fortunately in both cases it was caught very early and turned out to not be as serious as originally thought. Both women are fine today, but it was enough for me to push hard for her to go, and she recognized the need. So she made an appointment here. When she showed up she said they were very sweet. The facility is very clean and comfortable. She filled out some paperwork and was called in quickly. Whole procedure took just 15 minutes and was not invasive at all. Turns out she does not have any indication of the possibility of breast cancer, at least not now. We are all very happy. She will be making annual visits here and please my Yelp sisters, please get checked. Of course I suggest Pure Mammography, but if you're not near here or don't have one where you are located, then find anyplace that can test you. ITS IMPORTANT, VERY IMPORTANT. i'm giving it five stars because they're honest. anytime a company like this can save someone from getting an unnecessary needle stabbing (biopsy), they deserve our business. and that's because they don't have a stake in your getting future tests done with them. you have to go here for a second opinion! Why wouldn't you? Insurance pays for it. If you have dense breast, get the ultrasound. For that you need dr rx. Insurance covers it. They advertise warm robes but that was not provided. Just a room temperature robe. doesn't matter. a good report was received from this company when a bad report was received by another company. Wtf? Just sayin. In other words, this company did a test, and nothing but the test. Maybe that's why their called pure mammography. Pictures are crystal clear. You won't get that from another company. At least the person who experienced this didn't. Also it was a bit chilly while waiting. doesnt matter (you know why). didn't notice a spa-like environment, but it could have been in the sahara desert. Just wanted a good result. there were free packaged snacks, like chips, energy bars ,soda and water. Go here! read more

This place is a great place to go to if you are having second thoughts about getting a mammo done. it's located inside of Smith haven Mall right across from Sears. The staff was wonderful very helpful. The lobby was very low-key very soothing and they prepare you for the mammogram .As you go in for the mammogram you walk into a room and change clothes to get the sonogram or a mammogram done the technician which I think her name was Linda was very helpful even though the process didn't feel great at all ,but overall she made me feel more comfortable throughout the process. The decor within this facility the colors coordinated with the vibe which was very low-key and very soothing. I will recommend this place for any woman who is nervous about getting a sonogram or mammogram done. They're hours are pretty reasonable and again the staff is very helpful and friendly. read more

Best mamo and Sono I ever experienced. The Technicians were knowledgeable, kind and very warm individuals. They were gentle and explained to me the entire time what they were doing. My breasts did not feel like pancakes as the usually do after my mammogram. The wait was only a few minutes and to make it more relaxing I wore a beautiful warm plush soft robe, and they offered water bottles, coffee and snacks while I waited in the warm waiting area. Their bedside manner is impeccable, they are committed to making sure your experience with them is like none other. Besides being highly professional, the staff is kind, funny and relatable. While the location of this business is very convenient we ended up spending 2 hours there on a Saturday morning. We had 1st appointment but ended up waiting 1 hour for someone. They only had one person working. She was very very slow. Once we got in the room it was another hour with a series of questions. But it is a beautiful place and convenient. Not sure if I would return. If it works out that I am already at mall sure i may just go. But not go out of my way to go to this location. read more

I have been to the facility twice (2017 & 2018). The technicians are great, gentle and thorough, so no complaints regarding the actual mammogram/ Sonogram. My issues are with the billing department. They incorrectly billed my insurance back in Oct 2017 and when it was finally fixed, they did NOT send me any notification that I owed $207 as part of the deductible for the sonogram. No bill, no phone call, and they didn't tell me that I had a balance when I went for my annual appointment in Oct 2018! Yesterday I received a collection notice. I called Pure today and paid the balance with my HSA, but all of the aggravation and the delay could have been avoided by a simple bill or maybe even a phone call! I was very disappointed by this since I really do like the facility. read more

I had to get a bone density scan and my Dr recommended Pure Mammography . I am so happy he did! I'm a very nervous person and this place did not make feel nervous at all. The manager was so nice I told her I was not very good when getting tests done, she then took me to the tech introduced her and the rest of the staff to me. They couldn't have been any nicer. After that I was told to put on a robe and I went into the room to take the test it was just like being in a spa! Beautiful music was playing the whole time. I went into Pure just to check it out and see what it was all about., boy was I pleasantly surprised. The ambience, the friendly staff and more importantly it was so easy and fast to get checked in and there was absolutely no wait. Once I got inside, I was handed a warm robe to change into, what a delight! The exam room was also so tranquil, which made the process so much more relaxing. Besides all the things I listed above, the convenience of having a mammography center in the mall, very genius.
