Had everything explained to me whilst she was doing the facial. My therapist didn't give me the hard sell to buy further treatments or make an appointment. She only asked if I wanted to receive monthly texts of their offers. On my way out she gave me a goodies bag with samples and also vouchers for discounts at the salon. Will come back again.

It's one of my favourite salons for the more-high-strength treatments. I believe the owner is a doctor too so that's great for supervising chemical-based facials.

I've been going there for about 18 months for a cut and colour on long hair, and it's been consistently excellent. Price is great value for money, and service as good or better than some top London salons I've been to in the past. Much recommended!

I have now realised I'm happier going out my way for that better experience. They are very friendly and very welcoming and always do an excellent job on my hair. Their prices are very reasonable and I've never walked out feeling ripped off.

You don't normally need an appointment but if you are having something such as hair colouring done then booking is necessary. There are a small number of parking spaces available outside but these are normally taken up by customers from the cafe next door. Parking is available in Mildred Road a few yards away but this is a tight road and so folding your mirrors in is advised. Resist temptations to park on yellow lines nearby as the area is patrolled by traffic wardens. The prices here are quite cheap when compared to High Street hairdressers and the loyal customer base that Xquizite has built up proves that a quality service is provided.

Jolanta's is set within a leisure centre which forms part of The Glades shopping complex. It's a…read moresmall business with one treatment room locked away in the health suite of the centre, but you have to get past the screaming queue of kids waiting to pay for swimming to get access to it! As obvious as it is, Jolanta, a lovely Polish woman, runs the salon. She offers waxing, massages, facials, pedicures, manicures and more. Up until recently, a 'Hollywood' wax was ONLY £12.50 (she calls it a 'more than' wax where EVERYTHING from down under is defuzzed). That price was an absolute bargain, but now it's £15 still not bad (in central London you can easily pay £STUPID so no one should begrudge it). Her massages are amazing her hands must have double the amount of muscles compared to an average person! It's so good, you can easily drop off to sleep; and the same goes for her facials. All in all it's a fabulous salon and Jolanta's very accommodating when it comes to appointments. The only negative I can think of is the salon's not open on a Sunday (she'd get a shed load of extra business if she had someone else working on a Sunday for her) but I guess giving up an hour on a Saturday is a small price to pay for great work in a relaxing setting at fair prices.
