Loved our tour--and our boat--and our Captain. Pauline knew so much Amsterdam history and shared her favorite moments and stories and little special items along the way. So glad we found this company.

Wow this canal cruise was wonderful. Truly what makes this cruise amazing is the captain you get. Each captain will go their own route and make it unique. Ours told us some fun facts and history. I do wish he told us a little bit more about the history of Amsterdam. There were several times where it was complete silence for 10 minutes. While that was relaxing, I also would have loved to learn things on the cruise. Overall a phenomenal experience and I would totally recommend this company. We were in their offices to warm up before our cruise and saw a photo of President Obama. He did a canal cruise with this company last year!

Annabella was a great guide/hostess. Very knowledgeable about the city & the cruise was the prefect length. Took off and docked in Jordaan. Boat was absolutely beautiful, spacious and clean!

Such a fun canal cruise! We unfortunately booked a 2 hour afternoon cruise on a rainy day but luckily the boat could be completely covered and enclosed to keep out the rain. We didn't have the best views with the rain but it was still such a great way to spend an afternoon and probably the best way we could have toured Amsterdam! The snacks and drinks provided were yummy and while we're not big drinks (I appreciated the mimosas with largely orange juice), there are a good variety of local beer that some of the other folks on the tour with us really enjoyed. Our host was fantastic as well telling us a combination of tour commentary as well as his own personal stories which was a great introduction to Amsterdam for first-timers like us. The boat itself is a great size for a medium size boat and has a restroom as well if you need to go during the ride. We also appreciated that it's electric so there's barely any noise and really makes for a smooth ride.

An unforgettable experience with Captain Lisa!! She adds a fun and playful element to the experience, not to mention has lots of great stories for the boat ride. This was our first time riding the canals of Amsterdam and it was a whole new experience viewing the city from the water. Highly recommend this experience!

Not gonna lie, but they did a great job with their social media campaign which was 100% why we booked this particular company among the seemingly hundreds of other choices. Fortunately for us, our expectations were surpassed by our reality! Captain Hans was a delightful guide that made us feel welcome and excited before we even set foot on this incredible vessel. The experience was great. The beverage selection was top notch and the spread of cheeses and crackers were better than adequate. We got a chance to get to know our boat mates and quickly noticed that, compared to the budgets canal cruises that packed people in like sardines, our faces were smiling nearly the entire time. Had a chance to talk to the lovely office staff and use the facilities before and after the cruise as well. Spend the coin and treat yourself to an unforgettable experience.

We spotted a Pure Boats tour while walking around Amsterdam... and we quickly decided we need to book a tour! They are a canal boating company outside of the mainstream. A little more expensive, but worth it if you like luxury! One of the best ways to see is Amsterdam is from the canals with a glass of your favorite beverage in your hand! Cheers!

Rick was an incredibly kind and welcoming guide. We learned a lot about the area and history while having a great time. Thank goodness they had shades, it was so hot and it was the only thing that kept us from melting. So much fun and great value for the price.

Great boat tour- small group, good information, tasty drinks and snacks (loved the touch of the local beer and cheese). This was a perfect way to orient us to Amsterdam on our first day. The boat was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There is a bathroom on board. Our skipper was extremely knowledgeable and answered all the questions of the group making this a personalized experience. There are a lot of boat tour groups- I would suggest this one due to their attention detail and ability to help visitors learn about the beautiful city. Hope to visit again to do the night tour. Also, remember to tip your skipper!!

View from the back of the boat. There were about 16 passengers.

Our family wanted to do a canal tour on our trip and everyone recommended going with a smaller boutique tour. I actually found Pure Boats on TikTok! We are so glad that we chose this company. We did the 2 hour evening tour that included charcuterie boards and drinks (beer, wine, water). Also there is a small toilet on board if needed. We had so much fun chatting with other passengers and our captain, Mouse, was absolutely great! Would recommend to anyone visiting to learn more about Amsterdam!

The boat equipped for a little bit of a rainy day.

We cannot recommend this tour enough. We did the small group tour and shared the experience with just 7 others. The boat was absolutely beautiful and, with an electric engine, you felt like you were floating above the canal. Our captain, "Will", was so charming - a native of Amsterdam, he gave a relaxed and informative tour as we cruised around the canals.

I really wanted to do a nighttime boat tour of the canals in Amsterdam, but the idea of cramming onto the large touristy boats full of people going up and down the canals was less appealing. So after some online research, we booked a nighttime tour with Pure Boats and found the experience to be far superior. Plus we were treated as people and not as cattle, so bonus. So the boat we went out on was lovely - it only seated 12 people and only 10 were on our tour. We were all couples and all Americans, so it was easy conversation and a fun group. Our boat driver (who said his name was "Shlinka," which i am sure is not spelled like that at all) and the server/tour guide John were so great. Funny, interesting, personable. They gave us an awesome tour, answered all of our questions and helped us understand the culture of what we were looking at. There was also a healthy array of snacky things out for us, and we were encouraged to drink pretty much as much booze as possible. Given the open bar and refreshments served, I really feel like the price tag of about 50 Euros each was a steal for what we got. We would highly recommend this above the more touristy "mass" tours of the canals. We also noted that this company does charters. If we ever come back to Amsterdam with a group of friends (something we talked about a lot)l we would absolutely charter a private tour with this group, especially if Shlinka could be our guide again!

Had the most incredible experience doing a canal cruise through pureboats. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He served us delicious apple pie and local craft beers. The boat was absolutely gorgeous and I felt like a king riding in it. Highly recommend this company for any canal cruising experiences!

Seriously can't get better than a €10.50 boat ride that allows you to experience one of the greatest cities in Europe. My friend and I agreed that we just wanted to experience going through the canals on a nice day while still learning a bit about the history of Amsterdam. Rederji popped up in my search mostly for how affordable the experience was! Their departure dock is easy to find and boats set sail roughly every half hour or until it gets filled. The tour lasts for about 90 minutes and you truly get to see what makes Amsterdam so beautiful. The tour is automated with an announcer cycling through 3-4 different languages, with English being the third making it easy to catch the site while hearing what it's about. I'll admit that some parts seemed to stretch a bit (e.g. this random person's mansion squished between two equally as amusing buildings), but we didn't mind. There's no formalities and no bag checks, so you can feel free to bring snacks and drinks on board with you as you set sail around the canals. We enjoyed our time on this boat and would recommend it for anyone on a budget and want an enjoyable experience.

So if you have a chance to make a reservation, you should definitely try! We only got lucky because of the nicest team on board who made space for us in a tiny corner of the boat with a box-turned-into-table - we couldn't really look outside the window without standing up, but we got our tour and even got charged less. This ist how you make people start great into their day! Right after the boat got off into the canals we were served mimosas and bloody marys and after that very tasty eggs benedict and waffles.
