I was driving down 183 and the guy in front of me was hauling gravel with no tarp. It sprayed my windshield leaving several chips and one decent dent. The next morning that dent spread across the windshield to the tune of about 9 inches. I called a few places that were close to me over in Pflugerville. One I had actually used before with great success, but now you can't even get a human on the phone. I go to my trusty Yelp business finder like I always do, and I found Scott with Pure Auto Glass. I had requested a quote from 4 different places and Pure Auto Glass was the only one who got back to me, within the same day too. Price was more then half of what a big nationwide company quoted me. Communication was through messaging on his website and response was always timely and polite. I scheduled an appointment a few days later. I was home earlier then expected, told him he could arrive early if he wanted. He showed up 30 min. Early, was very polite on the phone. I showed him my car and left him to it. 30 to 45 min. Scott and his tech at Pure Auto Glass were amazing. I had just bought a car for my twin daughters sweet 16 party. While coming back from Dallas I got a rock chip. What a bummer. I attempted to have it repaired by a different company. Well they didn't fix it and prevented any other chance of fixing it. So I found Scott on yelp. He responded quickly and gave a great price for a new windshield. Scott answered quickly to any questions I had. Even in the evenings after hours. He came to my job to do the replacement and it went smooth. Only to see a defect in the new windshield. That was Monday and Scott agreed to replace it with a new windshield on Friday and my job again. Great !!! Now it gets amazing. Scott had his tech go to the supplies and inspect the new windshields. Only to find out that every windshield for my Audi Q7 had the same defect in it. He went to all their suppliers and found the same issues. He didn't stop there though. The tech found a windshield in Houston on Thursday. The day before my appointment. This didn't stop them from making sure I was blown away by their service. They arraigned you have it delivered to a local shop of a friend in Houston. Then the tech drove to Houston after his shift and picked it up late Thursday. Only to return to Austin the same night so I could be taken care of Friday. I use a lot of services and I have never had this type of service. I was not aware of this until I spoke to the tech today. I'm still blown away. As long as I am in Austin I will only use Scott and his team for my windshield needs. I would recommend them to everyone as a honest and genuine company. Unfortunately, there are way too many auto glass companies out there who use low quality glass and take short cuts to get the job done quickly and move on to the next customer. Today's vehicles are designed with safety features that are integrated with, or dependent on, the glass and the way it is installed. For example, a vehicle's passenger side air bags deploy by "exploding" upward out of the dashboard panel, hitting the windshield and inflating in front of the passenger seat.
