We came in October and there were so many wonderful holiday items, including these pumpkin pillows the owner made herself. We chatted with the owner for a bit and she's even getting classes started for newbies, like me, to get the hang of this craft thing. I'm pretty sure she will make any specific item you are thinking about, as well. This shop is definitely worth the visit if you like vintage items!

My new space looks amazing thanks to them, and all of my clients comment on how wonderful it looks. They helped me find great desks at Excel - a used office furniture store located next to them - and then Nick customized it to fit into our space perfectly. They were great about coming up with creative ideas to help me stay within my budget. I was walking around Peoria Heights and looking through each store. This is a Fair Trade shop,…read morewhich means they buy from low-income countries to support their economy and resell the products. There is a huge sale going on because they will, unfortunately, be closing at the end of June. The volunteer greeted me, introduced me to their selections, and was very friendly when I took a long time to browse every knick-knack. They have cards, kitchen items, holiday items, instruments, bags, clothes, jewelry, books, magnets, bumper car sticks, stickers, wind chimes, finger puppets, coffees, teas, chocolates and more. Great place to buy unique gifts. It's like traveling the world without having to buy a plane ticket.

I think what we smelled was the Emerald Tea room, there was a bunch of ladies in there sitting around a table. I'd love to come back just to visit that, it smelled amazing! As you're walking around the store, you'll notice that there are lots of cute booths set up with all kinds of random affordable items in each section. There's all kinds of different types of things in the store from jewelry, household decorations, seasonal items, pictures, kitchenware, clothing, pet items, ect all kinds of different inventory! The store is huge by the way it just keeps on going. The cash register is near the front of the building but somewhat in the middle of the store. Tammy, the owner was working the cash register today. I tried to make small talk with her. I know a couple of ladies that have booth rentals here so it was finally nice to go in and check it out. I did buy a couple of items, including a "thankful" cheese platter, little red mushrooms, and a wooden soap dish. Overall, it's a really cute store and I just might have to go back and visit again next month.

I had assumed most items would be out of our…read morebudget, since I've been married nearly 20 years and don't routinely make expensive jewelry purchases beyond my wedding set. Indeed, they had many beautiful sparkly things from which I tried to avert my eyes. We have two kids going to college soon, so there goes my bling money. For Mother's Day, I had asked for a circle pendant I could have my daughters' birthdates engraved upon. I didn't think ahead to how I was going to get said item engraved, and spent a bit of time researching how to handle that. Yelp suggested they do engraving at Jones, so I ventured in for the first time. Despite being what I would consider a higher end store, I was warmly welcomed and felt comfortable there. At no point did anyone even remotely make me feel poorly for bringing in an item purchased elsewhere. That has NOT been my experience at other jewelers. I'm talking to you, Kevin Kelly. I'll never forget how he made me feel for asking him to set a stone I didn't purchase there. I'll never go there again. Hey, guess what? People buy things on the internet. Especially if their husband's nickname is Mr. Thrifty. But I digress. Jones has employed an engraver with actual graphic design experience and that made it worth the price which was admittedly a tiny bit high for engraving. I was willing to pay for Jen's advice and expertise. She expanded upon my ideas and made the piece even more personal and special. I can't say enough good things about working with her. Thank you Jen and Dan for helping bring my vision to life and finishing this special piece that I will treasure. I will definitely use you for all my engraving needs and recommend you without hesitation.
