We were waiting to get to Santiago before we try some Galician meat, not necessarily the Rubia Gallega steak, but we saw Pulperia Parillada Europa had some on its menu. After a heavy dose of pulpo since arriving at northern Spain, it was time to break the spell.
Churrasco De Porco - These were grilled pork ribs, taken off the bones, cut into bite-size pieces, and served over papas fritas. The dish looked so simple, but it packed so much flavor. The meat was very well-seasoned and the herbs were very visible.
Churrasco De Tenreira - These were grilled beef short ribs and sausages served on top of papas fritas, too. Just like the pork, these were very tasty. The meat smelled so good and was tender as well.
Whatever they had in their barbeque pit made their grilled meats very aromatic and delicious. The drippings from the meats made the French fries even more enjoyable. We ordered a few other items, but their churrasco specialties were impressive. Service was very friendly and the restaurant had a homey atmosphere.
