I attended a charcuterie class here recently. The owner was very up front that they had a last minute vendor change so as guests would not have to pay an additional fee for which I was appreciative! My customized charcuterie board was well made and very cute! We were unfortunately running a few minutes late due to traffic so things had just started when we walked in. We wound up having to flag someone down to help us get seated and get our boards. I was a little disappointed by how little anyone interacted with us for the class itself. We were handed ziploc baggies of items and left to our own devices to place everything. Someone finally came around to show us one thing; pepperoni flowers. Our table actually pulled up Pinterest for other how to's and ideas. While my friends and I had a great time, I'm not sure the price point for the class was worth it. I may give this place another try at a later date, because the hiccups in our experience could have just been related to the vendor change at last minute. read more

Pulp and Pine DIY Studio is a cute little shop designed for you to create masterpieces, lol, and have fun. There is no experience necessary and there are plenty of helpful employees in the shop! They have a calendar of events on their website and you can choose what you want to make in their design gallery. I wanted a design that was not on their website and I sent it to them and they made it for me. The shop is pretty close to Anderson University and located in the Grand Junction building. In addition to the events you can sign up for you can also book events for baby showers or bridal parties and of course birthdays. The class I attended ran from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and it was a full house. It was fun getting to see everybody else's designs and their creativity. Not only do they have workshops you can also purchase gift items in there and they have paint that you can purchase. It was a great atmosphere for creating. Very laid back approach to teaching you what to do. I chose a very large sign design and paid $80.25 for the class and because they did not have the design I wanted I paid a $10 design fee for them to make the stencil for me. I could have purchased this sign on sale from a retail shop for $140 so I did save some money and I had some fun! Come give it a try I think you will be glad you did. read more

We have gone to Pulp and Pine three times now. Once in the old location and twice in their awesome new location. Even though it's downtown there is plenty of free parking and easy to get to. The projects are fun and they owner and employees come around offering suggestions, or special tools or such to make sure your project is a success for you. You can just show up on their open days to grab a project that they have in stock and they have all the paints, brushes, tape, etc. that you would need. You also can order a special project in advance that you want. This is what we have done all three times. The projects have turned out great and I highly recommend them!!! read more

Terrible customer service! The people helping us with our projects was extremely rude to us. We had to reschedule due to sickness. We rescheduled the party for the following week and planned to take the projects with us to work on at the holiday party. The projects we took with us were missing stains, paint, paint brushes, letters, etc. We called to ask what our options were and the person on the phone said we could come by to get the missing items. Since we were at our Christmas party we declined. Then, we were offered a $5 stain discount. We felt it was an unacceptable result for multiple projects that were incomplete. Avoid this place and the people who run it at all costs!! read more

We ordered some paint to do our kitchen cabinets during Covid & were not only thrilled with the product and the outcome of our project, but we were also super impressed with the owner's helpfulness, kindness, patience, and willingness to explain in detail what our options were as we tried to choose the right color for our space. I was very unhappy with the service when I ordered from this company. I ordered in early November, it was not shipped until around Dec 8. When I placed the order it said nothing about paying more for shipping, at a later time. ( It should have been included in the original order) I didn't know it was going to ship almost a month later. ( It was a decoration for Christmas.) It was the lost by USPS and they would do nothing to help me trace it. When I finally received the package in January, it was damaged and missing the paint. Again no offer of assistance to help with the claim. On both instances I had to contact them several times asking for information. It went from an oh my experience to I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

To fix this, they would have to cut both the frame and the background to my project. My project would still be off center. The ladies working were great and speaking with the person who owns this place to figure out what to do next. I was given the opportunity to keep my $50 project and not receive it until sometime next week and it would be off center and uneven framed still. OR to take the project they painted (which was completely different colored than mine). I then requested a complete refund and was granted it due to the experience.
