My friends got clam/ seafood pastas, both of which they felt were not the best, due to quality of the pasta. My other friend got lasagna, which was reallly great. We all got a pizza to share and the did not put basil on the margarita pizza, which felt weird and naked. The service was good, and somewhat attentive.

2.5/5. Don't think we'd come back. We wanted something quick and convenient to our hotel, since we…read morehad a long day out. Ciao Miami is walking distance from Hotel Melia. We sat upstairs. The restaurant looks very posh, quaint, and french inside. Don't be fooled, the food does not measure up to the decor. We weren't too famished, so we ordered the prosciutto y funghi pizza to share. It was definitely enough for two people. The crust was pretty good and crispy, but the sauce and cheese didn't seem of the highest quality. The toppings were decent, but could not make up for the blandness of the sauce. The sauce almost had a fake taste to it, as you could tell maybe the sauce isn't freshly made. Regardless, the pizza was still relatively edible. The tiramisu was served in one of those cups that often premade tiramisu is served in and not as a slice. It was just okay, but not comparable to what I've had in the United States. Again it tasted and looked a little processed. Probably not the freshest. Service was relative quick (comparably for Spain). Overall, come here if you can't think of anywhere else to go, otherwise I'd recommend you try something else. Summary: Edible and average food with what seems to be not the freshest ingredients. Pro: Very close to the major hotels in Alicante

We ordered the steak medium rare and it came out well done, making the steak tough and strange tasting. Also tried the pesto ravioli stuffed with 5 cheese. It was basically inedible. Neither my fiancé or I were able to finish even half of it. The pesto sauce tasted did not taste like any of the pesto sauces I've ever had in the US. The cheese tasted processed and was solid inside the ravioli. I certainly could not taste any complexity in the cheese stuffing that would make me think there are 5 cheeses. We also tried the calamari this time and it was pretty decent. Overall, I'd recommend walking a little further from the tourist area to try something else.

" Great Service with OK Food "…read more My wife and I were in Alicante Spain for the day and decide to try the Pizzeria Tarantino in Alicante Spain. Their menu items were extensive and the lunch we had was OK. Particularly the frito misto dish which is mixed deep fried seafood. The Pizza was fairly tasty but I asked for it to be cooked with a crispy crust and it still was served to use a little doughy. The prices were not bad, but it was just an OK experience.
