We were staying at the northern end of this beautiful boardwalk for a few days. So walking up and…read moredown this promenade was our daily thing to do. And it's a very nice way to spend some time here.
The boardwalk is in really good shape and quite wide, so there's enough space for everybody. Even when it gets darker this place is still busy and feels safe to walk around. The views are stunning and the sunsets even more so. You won't find that many international tourists here, it's mostly locals who stroll around here, which is nice.
There are numerous benches integrated in the boardwalk wall in case your legs need a rest. At the northern end there's a very small beach, ideal if your dog wants a quick dip. For the humans I'd recommend the beach at the southern end, right before the port. Also a nice spot to sit and watch the sun going down.
The boardwalks runs parallel to the main street, which is busy, but still not really noisy or disturbing. It's a great thing to do when in town.
