Cute little bar on the second floor of the Querétaro Intercontinental Airport. We all waited here before our flight to Houston to have a few drinks. They had outlets for charging your phones and a TV playing 80s and 90s MTV music videos, which felt a bit like being in a time warp.
Considering the size of the bar, they had a decent beer and wine list. I was surprised to see a sparkling rose on the list and even more surprised that the bar was stocked with a healthy supply. They do serve paninis, but the bartender said that they were all sold out at that moment, which was about 11:30 am in the morning.
They did have some chips/popcorn and this nice beef jerky, so we got those to start off with. The bartender did mention that we could go and get food to bring back to eat at the bar as well. I found it interesting the the chips and beef jerky were served on separate porcelain plates. The beef jerky was actually pretty good. It had a chipolte smokey flavor and the bartender added lime juice on top of it after suggesting it.
The bartender was chilled and service was good. The bar soon became full and I was surprised at the number of people drinking wine over beer. Definitely a good place to chill out at while waiting on your flight. read more
