Met up at this hidden Publix location with several friends around 8am. This publix is never busy and have used the pharmacy in the past for a covid vaccine. Today I felt like I needed a bumb and grabbed a Monster energy drink the white can with zero sugar. We also purchased a spinach empanada and apple pie slices from the bakery, which both tasted fresh and smelled great. The shelves in the food aisles were clean and all the items were faced. Publix used to be a pleasurable experience. Employees asking if you needed help finding things and taking you to the item, check out person would greet you at check out and ask you if you found what you needed, bagger would always ask if you wanted help taking the groceries to your car. None of this happened on my recent trip to this store. read more

The customer service here is so inconsistent. Some days the cashiers are nice (rarely) and the deli staff is always nice. But the other half of the time majority of the cashiers are rude or dont even make an effort to make the transaction decent. I think its a manager herself "alysa" or "alisa" somthing like that has no basic customer service skills. Barely made eye contact, i had an issue at checkout and it got turned into a very awkward transaction because she just seemed bothered to be at work or to be dealing with a customer issue? And kept referring to me as if i was not right infront of her. Picking up groceries shouldnt be uncomfortable or awkward, and its happened many times that the cashiers attitudes have made it so. read more

We usually go to WinnDixie but for some reason ended up at Publix! It ended up being a nice change. They had some things WinnDixie does not carry. It was nice to find some new things. They were stocked food wise fairly well. The store was clean as was the restroom. They have a person wiping down carts so they are sterile and everyone has to wear a mask if you work there or are a guest. They have the ground marked for social distancing and plexiglass up in front of all the cashiers. Was able to get meat from deli and it was stocked well. The bakery was on point as well. I've never shopped here for weekly food before only have run in to get a thing or 2. I will definitely be back love their selection of food and drinks! I definitely recommend you check out this Publix! You will be happy you did. read more

Very poor customer service at the cashier stations. A few months ago the Publix store at 225 S. Flamingo Rd in Plantation installed self-checkout lanes. After that they reduced the personnel at the regular cashier stations. The cashiers are often left alone to ring up, bag the items, and place the bags in the carts for transportation to the parking lot. Lately, some cashiers have left it up to the customers to load, and sometimes even assist to bag the items. The last two times I was there after purchasing almost two hundred dollars in groceries each time, I asked the cashier to request help from the manager. The first one seemed reluctant, so I asked an employee walking by to get her help. His response was, "It's just me here buddy". The second time the cashier refused to ask for help and when I informed her I wasn't going to do the store's job she said, "Wow, that's not right" and proceeded to toss my bags into the cart. Seriously? After leaving the store, I called the manager and informed her about my experiences. She admitted that the store had cut the hours of employees that use to do these jobs, but she was clear that on both occasions someone should have been there to help. I don't know about you, but I pay enough for my groceries these days without having to bag and load them myself! read more

This is my home base Publix . Everyone has their own in Florida and they will go out of the way even if there is another Publix closer to them. The people here are smiling and happy. It is a bit more hidden than the Publix down the road near sunrise so it is always less busy and cozier. I could go down a list of names of the employees who say hi to me by name there but I want you to experience that for yourself . So do yourself a favor and stop by whenever you need anything here. The employees are happy and I think that is what makes Publix really the place "Where shopping is a pleasure" Quick tips: -Jamaican beef patties at the deli are awesome when you want a snack for less than 2 bucks that will fill you up. - this deli is super generous with the chicken tenders in the pub subs -always go the extra cents for boars head cold cuts -New York style potato salad reigns supreme above the others -Mac and cheese at deli is not worth it - mojo pork roast is surprisingly as good as most Cuban places around here (don't believe me ? Ask for a sample ) -Publix policy allows you to sample a chicken tender every single time you shop there :) and here the deli people don't get mad when you ask every single time you go there (I should know lol) read more

I come to this local Publix all the time and I just asked for a couple of plastic bags I swear I probably grab like 5 and it's a new manager because I've never seen her before. she made her face really disturbing and said I guess just a couple because we pay for those. Like really ,it comes out of your check!? Come on now new manager. You see me here with a cart full of groceries. I just spent almost 60 dollars. This is my go to Publix - and although there are 2 other locations within a 2 mile radius, this is the one I go to 90% of the time. Clean Friendly staff Check out is always quick Parking is always easy THAT BAKERY - I have been known to have a sweet tooth and I don't care what anyone says Publix cake is up to par as one of the best cakes anywhere (especially for the price). When I see a slice of cake (THAT BUTTERCREAM) I'll usually get it for dessert. But I also enjoy everything in the bakery. We've been known to THEM SUBS We've got some good sub shops in BPB, but man the subs at Publix are real deal. I've been going with the chicken tenders sub, with cheddar lately. MASSIVE subs that can easily be split into two servings. PUBLIX BRAND We've been buying a ton of our groceries Publix Brand for a while now. Cheaper and great quality! Canned veggies like black beans, corn, green beans and beets. Pastas. Heck for a while there we were even doing the K cups Publix Coffee. We've decided to switch to Cuban coffee the last couple months though. Sour cream. Milk. you name it! All great quality! As I mentioned the staff here is always fantastic! Check out is a breeze and unlike some other Publix locations the parking is always super easy. I do wish they had a better selection of craft beer. They've been getting some in lately - but I had Craft Beer envy when I stopped at a random Publix in Coral Springs a few months ago and they were stacked with great craft beers. There is no other grocery store like Publix. Shopping there is really a pleasure. Every time I go to any Publix, especially this one: the aisles are always organized, and if you can't find something yourself, you can just ask a staff and they will lead you right to where it is instead of telling you to go to an aisle and continue to stare at the foods. If your fridge is running out of foods to eat then u recommend going to Publix, where shopping is a pleasure. read more

My wife and I do our groceries here on a weekly basis. We switched over from Whole Paycheck after about four weeks of emasculation paying for foo-foo nonsense. Granted, Whole Paycheck has MANY options for vegans, but the prices are exorbitant. With practice and patience, shopping is indeed a pleasure at Publix. This particular location is close to home. It takes us less than 10 minutes to get there. A little advice, do your groceries early if possible. We are usually at Publix no later than 09:00. The selection of produce is decent and well-priced. The bakery is one of the better ones I've seen at a chain supermarket. I would like to see more vegan options in the frozen food section. In the mood for sushi, dig in. It's always fresh. And if you have a special request, the chef will make it with no problem. Publix is always running specials, be it beer or food. Which, if push comes to shove, I'll take the beer. Beer has calories, doesn't it? That qualifies it as a basic food group. read more

I'm a big Publix fan. Being raised in South Florida and growing up no further north than Orlando, Publix is basically the ONLY grocery store that exists in my mind. I only joke, but if you're from Florida then you understand. This particular location has become one of two of my regular Publix locations since my last move. The other location doesn't do online sub ordering, so I tend to frequent the Flamingo store more often. :-) . Although I will say that while the online ordering saves time waiting at the counter to order your sub, the sandwich makers are often always busy and delayed in processing the pick-up orders. All in all, the store is clean and the operation is just like most Publix in the area. People are friendly and I'm still a fan of the subs! read more

Your typical neighborhood family-friendly Publix. I usually come here often in the mornings to grab some pastries and fresh bread with some butter to bring to the office from my coworkers. Since this location is farther away from my house but closer to my job I usually just grab the things that I want to keep at work such as snacks baked potato chips, almonds pistachios and macadamias. I also grab some fresh fruit like bananas apples and oranges. I also tend to bulk up on liquid creamer, coffee and other beverages like Gatorade or bottled water. For some reason I can't seem to leave this place without grabbing a Redbull from one of their refrigerators near the cash register very convenient. What will send me to my grave about this location and just about any other Publix locations are there mouthwatering subs. Made from the freshest of boars head products. There's nothing like a rosemary pesto ham and oven gold turkey sandwich on smoked Gouda cheese. With fresh baked some honey mustard mayo and fresh veggies. I'm telling you if Publix were ever to invest in a sandwich only shop I'd be one of the first to buy some shares. Nothing but positive vibes in this location buy with confidence. read more

Whoever worked in customer service August 1st at 9 PM deserves to lose their job without notice. I came in and spent nearly $100 on groceries and I have a coupon for $5 off my total, but it expired yesterday on July 31st. The cashier with curly hair and glasses told me to go to customer service and ask for them to count it. So after waiting in line, the customer service rep told me there's nothing they can do. She also kept the coupon and didn't give it back. I didn't bother arguing because five dollars isn't the end of the world, but as a former Publix associate, this is not Publix standards to deny expired coupons, especially after ONE day. If she didn't take it from me, I would've just kept the coupon and went to a Publix that actually gives a damn. This is a fairly standard Publix just north of 595 on Flamingo Road. It's got all your basic offerings and a good sized produce department.

Store is always clean and well stocked. Lots of parking space and never too crowded. Employees are mostly helpful.

The management at the Publix located on the corner of Flamingo Road and SR 84 are the absolute opposite of the kind, caring and customer-centric staff portrayed on Publix commercials and the thoughtless lack of concern for customers has poisoned the entire staff. Since I moved into the area eight years ago, this has been the place I visit on a daily basis. Everyone is always friendly and courteous and shopping has always been a pleasure...until yesterday. I, accidentally, purchased the wrong size a/c filter and went back to exchange, not request a refund. First, the "are you crazy?" look that I was given by the customer service representative was completely unprofessional. Second, yes I can read a sign regarding the current refund policy. As mentioned before, I was exchanging, not requesting a refund. I do understand the rationale behind the current refund policy. As the cashier explained, they don't want people returning a large amount of emergency items they bought. I did not have an emergency item and, again, I was exchanging. I have no use for a filter that is the wrong size. If this was something I could use in the future, I wouldn't even try to exchange it. As much as Publix likes go advertise how we are in this together, I did not see any of that empathy when the cashier was perfectly ok with the fact that I just had to let $10 go. No matter how essential some of us are, none of us have money to just throw away. Another customer suggested I hold onto it until after this is over and then return it. That's fine, but that $10 is something I could use now. I had to spend another $10 to purchase the right size. With three kids at home, my grocery bill each week is quite large and I still end up in there everyday needing something. Someone else will benefit from those sales as I don't intend to shop where shopping is no longer a pleasure. read more

Horrible cake construction. Save yourself the embarrassment and do not order cakes from this Publix. I ordered one of their catalog cakes a week before my daughters birthday party. They called me one hour before the pick up time to confirm what I wanted?!?! Once I got there the cake took another 30 mis to be "ready". It was crooked and it looked like the top tier was going to fall off. They did not even have a box to put the cake in!?!?! They should not have in their catalog a cake that they clearly cannot make. The Manager offered to take a "fixed" cake to the event within the hour, and they did but it was the same crooked cake. What a disappointment! read more
