An O'Learys is an O'Learys, and with that saying is that have you seen one you've seen them all,…read moreright? Not necessarily true even when it comes to pub franchises such as this one. Dined at many of them over the years at different places, and truthfully it can vary quite much. We were here in Örnsköldsvik due to our oldest son playing a floorball tournament, and on Sunday evening we wanted a dinner away from the hotel. Not expecting to need any kind of table reservation anywhere, we were flabbergasted that the two initial places we went to were booked solid (one Italian restaurant I got quite keen on visiting another time). By the skin of our teeth, O'Learys managed to squeeze our company of seven into their apparently busy Sunday schedule. It's a quite small O'Learys, and while some tables may appear a bit oddly placed (in order to accomodate more poeple) it works for the most part. I was in no mood for burgers or the likes (I eat healthy and workout about 5-6 times/week), so I went for a good cut of meat (Angus Beef) cooked rare with side orders of salad and potato wedges. The meat was cooked more towards medium rare than actual rare, but it had a nice sear, was moist and with a great spicy char so I was happy. The meat was served with corn on the cob, grilled lemon and tomato baked with chili (and I presume cayenne as well, but my sense of taste could be mistaken). Had only tap water to drink, so I can't tell anything about the wine selection (beer is out of the question, have never learned to appreciate that drink). In short; I was full, it was tasty, and I left there satisfied. Sometimes that is all you need, no more or less.
