So much details happened within the span of 30 minutes that I was here, and I will try my best to sum the highlights below-- I have appreciated April's spiritual wisdom and consult with readings when I saw her twice (I went there once a year basically since 2023) and did a spiritual cleansing ritual with instructions from April once in 2023 and have done it. However yesterday, the third time that happened recently made me feel so uncomfortable and off putting. Rather than feeling mad, I felt so much regret in coming here, and I really shouldn't have. I was feeling terribly low, and wanted possible readings in regard to my fertility and personal life, and wanted April's spiritual reading advice since it was helpful before. I messaged her the morning of to schedule the same night and asked for her rates. She writes to me "palm reading is $50 and tarot is $80" and that she can see me later during the evening. Great, I went. However when I entered, it wasn't April, but a different woman who tells me she is April's mother and that she does this psychic business with her daughter. I felt apprehensive because I wanted to see April, not her, but proceeded to get a reading from April's mom since I already arrived and didn't want to leave with no consult. April's mom tells me it's "$180" for tarot reading. I thought I heard wrong so I asked her if that's really the rate because April told me it's $80 at the end of our tarot reading. I offered to show the text messages. She tells me I'm wrong and that the rates have inflated basically since 2023, but pulls out her phone to call April on speaker to check. April tells her mom that it's $90, but $80 is fine. Even April's mom talks to her daughter very abruptly and cuts her off and ends the call amidst April attempting to ask more questions about what's going on. April's mom tells me to send the money and seemed a little discontent when I told her I don't have cash app, but only Zelle because I have sent Zelle to April before. It was noticeable how April's mom wanted me to send via cash app instead for whatever reason I don't know. As I was sending the money, I see and hear April's mom pulling her phone out in front of me across the table and was watching reels on social media with volume blasted aloud. As of the tarot reading of itself, it wasn't great honestly. I wanted the hard truth so I embraced with whatever is said, but the words I'm hearing from April's mom was painfully inaccurate and seemed angry when I told her I don't know anyone close to me in family or friends that has the initials she gave me. If I had to put a percentage, she was 50/50-either completely right or completely wrong. I had bad tarot cards, but April's mom was very aggressive in wanting to "help" me by saying do the cleansing or chakra healing with a candle and something else. The rate is originally $1000 but will give me at $300. She asks "do you want to be happy in the name of god, yes or no?" "Tell me your price from your heart, what can you afford?" "Will you do it yes or no?" "Money is paper...you need to lose a little to gain more (something along that line)" For personal reason and financial situation, I tell her I only came for the reading and that hearing someone tell me in an outside perspective spiritually gives me clarity. That's all I want. You can't imagine how many times I had to say this to April's mom because she was very relentless and aggressive. I appreciate her reason to help, but I felt like I wasn't respected in my wishes. In the end I left with only tarot reading thanks to my insistence on saying no on anything more. I was so disappointed in April's mom based on her attitude and lack of basic human kindness and mannerism. I've attached the screenshot photos of what I mentioned above and after that session, I tried to contact April to let her know what happened cause this has never happened before, but no response. I felt like I was scammed truly, out of nowhere. I'm writing this on public review since I'm getting no communication. Thank you to April for the past help, but never again, I won't come here since that last session with your mom felt like a sign from the heavens itself that I shouldn't come here anymore.
