The birth chart is one fantastic way to do this, but it can get overwhelming doing it yourself especially as a beginner. I did extensive research and was determined to find an astrologer whose work and personality resonated with me on a gut level. Serendipitously, I came across Britten's website (thanks Google!) and I was immediately drawn to her writing style - which I would describe as the perfect balance of lucidity and poetry. In addition, I'm also invested in her Seasonal Teachings, which are 4+ hours of 'transmission-style' recordings discussing the archetype of particular signs of the season (eg. I would argue it's one of the best decision I've ever made. Here are some of the reasons why. The multi-session structure of her readings worked particularly well for me. Rather than 1-hour readings, which is the norm for birth chart readings, she splits her reading into three separate parts: initial discussion, a recording of your birth chart reading which you can listen to deeply in your own privacy at your own pace, then a final follow up discussion to discuss how the reading resonates with you.
