You can also opt for outdoor seating to get some fresh air. The employees are nice and very attentive. I ordered the Smothered Burrito with grilled chicken on the side. It was flavorful, seasoned well, and the right amount of salsa. My friend got the Chicken n Waffle, according to her the protein was not salty and dry and she loved the crispiness of the chicken, and the waffle was perfectly cooked. Good food but service was not it. Ambiance of the restaurant is actually really nice and feels homey. Food was good!! The waffles were light and fluffy. The chicken was well breaded and I loved the crisp of the chicken. Service was not the best. I understand we were not seated right away because 2 people were on the way, but they were literally crossing the street and still did not sat us in a table. Mind you there were so many tables available, but I guess they really do have a strict all guests have to be FULLY PRESENT. Also, ordered food for togo and ordered it before we finished our food. The food took awhile than the food that we ordered to eat at the restaurant. When the togo food was ready it was given to us in multiple boxes and not in a bag. I'm not sure if it was the owner/manager or what, but she literally gave it to us in boxes and did not consider to put it in a bag. The servers had to give us a bag because they saw how obvious we wanted a bag. Honestly, the service will not stop me from coming back again. Absolutely deserves a 5 review. Very friendly, welcoming and attentive staff. Cozy and casual atmosphere. It was hard to make a final decision. But, I went with a wagyu burger and truffle, Parmesan fries....delicious! The caramelized onions was a great addition. The chunky tomato, roasted vegetable soup was pretty tasty. For over a month I was on a serious fried chicken sandwich kick and I tried sandwiches from various restaurants around the bay (Oakland, Alameda, Walnut Creek and San Francisco to name a few) and Provisions was one that popped up on Yelp and I decided to give them a try! Interestingly enough I went for a fried chicken sandwich but found a new favorite local spot! What I did not expect to find was this gem of a restaurant/cafe/bar with lots of personality attached to one of my favorite chicken sandwiches! This place is transformative and you can quickly forget what town you're in (this is a compliment and not a dig on Vallejo!) Provisions really knows itself and it's reflected in their style and offerings. They have a great selection of food and drinks on the menu and they always have great specials (that really are special so you always want to try them!) I'm both surprised and impressed that a place this good still tries to up their game with creative ways to engage with their customers and community (joining their news letter is a must!) Something that really stood out to me was how sometimes nice places like this (even though they are in your town) don't always feel like you belong there but this one does and as soon as you walk up to the door you know you're home! The staff is friendly and the restaurant's vibe varies from kinda folkie/hippy to modern yet trendy (they even shout out some of Vallejo's greats in the bathroom.) I normally drive over an hour for a place like this so it's great to have such a place in my own backyard! I like to go here for date nights and to bring friends just to show off even though I'm selfishly going for myself. First timer!!! It did not disappoint!!! I got the truffle fries and the fried chicken sandwich, this has to be one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Fried perfectly, the slaw on the chicken was delicious!!! I would say the server outside could have been more friendly but maybe she wasn't having a great day. One great server (Myra) and an ok server (male) made the service ok. Would have scored higher for me if the guy wasn't melancholy in his service. The I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was very flavorful. A bit too much hash browns in it imo but it was good nonetheless. If I knew how much potato was inside the burrito, I wouldn't have gotten hash browns as a side but I'll know what to do next time. I asked for sausage instead of bacon and it was good but I'd have appreciated more meat, it seemed a little unbalanced with the heaps of potato and sparse sausage. I also ordered a MFs as a cocktail. The buffalo chicken salad was so good! The pickled onions with the cheese and tomatoes do something to the salad. It's a healthy way to eat a buffalo chicken sandwich without bread. It's pretty good the only issue is some of the buffalo Chicken was dry. But the flavor was there. The fried chicken sandwich is huge!!! The chicken on this beast was juicy and tender. The truffle fries were okay they were a bit too oily and undercooked for my liking but most people probably want that in their truffle fries. The MFs cocktail I had was horrible. I'm a mezcal and tequila drinker but did not enjoy it. It was to sweet and bitter at the same time. It taste like a wooden doorknob in the words of my husband. read more

Team building appreciation meeting today had me feeling good. Its always great when can get a free meal out of the bosses. Table for 10 and we were loving every minute of our time waiting for our orders. Chicken and waffles was the major hit of the table. Overall, I have had a very positive experience with this restaurant. This review is specific to this morning's experience and why I will no longer be a customer of this establishment. On two occasions, including this morning, I observed staff behaviors behind the counter that raised concerns regarding hygiene and customer service. Specifically, I observed employees touching their faces and hair, as well as picking up items such as receipts from the floor or from what appeared to be a trash or recycling receptacle. In one instance, this appeared to be done to verify how an order was documented when the item prepared did not match the receipt, unfortunately the receipt had already been tossed in the receptacle, instead of reprinting it was retrieved. Following these actions, the employees handled takeout food containers without performing hand hygiene. The absence of observable hand hygiene is also the reason I have avoided ordering desserts from the front display case, despite the appealing options available. Similar issues occurred again this morning. Additionally, the employee who processed my payment took my card from my hand and placed it on the countertop rather than returning it directly to me. When I asked why it was not handed back in the same manner, the employee paused and responded that they "didn't even think about it." There was no attempt to provide reassurance or address the concern; instead, the interaction concluded with a brief "have a good day," after which the employee walked away. These experiences led me to question what other practices may be occurring outside of customer view. As a result, I felt uncomfortable consuming the food and ultimately discarded my breakfast. This was particularly disappointing, as I had been looking forward to the smothered burrito and side salad since the night before. Due to this experience, I will no longer be a customer. I am sharing this feedback to support the management team by identifying areas where improvements may be warranted, should they choose to address them. read more

Provisions is my favorite brunch/lunch spot in Vallejo. It's local, women-owned business with attentive staff. I've only been for breakfast and lunch, so haven't enjoyed the cocktails that look delish, but we've had plenty of great coffee, iced matcha and Arnold Palmers with our meals. The breakfast and lunch menus have a variety of standards and special dishes. The sandwiches are huge (shareable or second-meal worthy). The salads are satisfying as a meal. The fried avocado tacos are delicious. All the breakfast items on the menu look amazing and what I've tried has been good. I'll never miss ordering a gooey vegan cinnamon roll to share with the table- I think it's orange zest I'm tasting that's so yummy. The outside seating is lovely if the weather is cooperative. Inside is also nice, especially if you get a window table. There is plenty of street parking or a free lot across the street. read more

My brother and I had been active customers and supporters of Provisions almost since inception. We were attracted to them due to their support of Black Lives Matters and frequented Provisions almost weekly. The food is great! The albacore tuna melt is awesome! Ambience is exactly what you need. But, then, tragedy struck my brother with an unaffordable result and outcome. When the owner walked over to us and told us we had to "go sit in the back of the restaurant", for 1 quick moment, I saw what homeless folks must feel like. (We are far from homeless.) I get it, but I thought there was a better way that she could have approached us. We got up and walked out. Now, we frequent Manny's Steak House. Excellent food. Nice ambience. Well isn't this the cutest corner spot to check out downtown in Vallejo?! They have adorable indoor & outdoor seating.. we came on a busy day. They may need a little more support on the weekends. But their servers were very friendly and approachable. Food was good, nothing truly caught my tastebuds with the chicken & waffle... but I did notice my egg was seasoned well & maybe the maple syrup had something extra in it that made it taste good. The seasonal croquetas had a great crunch I just didn't expect them to be like a fish stick presentation, and expected a bit more potatoes. My partner and I went to Provisions for brunch for the first time and have a lovely time! The place is really cute on the inside with cozy tables and fun decor. They have a great outdoor space with tables for 2 and tables for groups. We had the Chicken and Waffles and the breakfast burrito. The Chicken and Waffles was delicious. The Chicken was cooked perfectly. The waffle didn't have distinct flavors, so the two paired nicely. The waffle wasn't so sweet, so they had thick maple syrup to add to taste. I went with a group of friends for breakfast and I was thrilled to be able to enjoy the blueberry scone again. I used to order them with coffee out on Mare Island but they stopped serving them there. Tried their brunch, finally. The menu isn't as diverse as their lunch items which was a little disappointing and maybe I hyped it up too much in my head. BUT the chilaquiles were good and packed some heat. I do wish we had an option to add some kind of meat on top of it since it was just 2 eggs on top of homemade tortilla chips. Me and my friends went to provisions yesterday for my friend's birthday and it was amazing. I got the tuna melt and omg! It was amazing! The service was awesome and the cardamom sidecar and they make their own syrups in-house! Lunch ion MLK Day after the event at City Hall. I had been wanting to try this place for a while. I had passed by it many times not knowing it was the place I had bookmarked on Yelp lol. It was busy. It was confusing where to get seated. Lots of people standing around and they seemingly were short staffed. Now, once you got the attention of staff members, they were pleasant and accommodating. I was pleased that I was able to move tables after ordering from one guy and was then allowed to move from a different guy. It was hard to keep track of who to get assistance from. Anyway, the first seat was more like a table in a walkway and that was confirmed by the "change seat" staff member, lol. I order the tuna melt-delicious! It was accompanied by tomato soup ( the soup of the day) Daughter: chicken sandwich with fries and lavender lemonade. No complaints about the food except for the soup which didn't come out, initially, hot. I flagged down some other staff member down and asked for it to be reheated and it was a brought out by another staff member. We sat. We waited around and then I sent my daughter to the cash register that was a stones throw from our seat, to get our check and she said that we could just come up and pay.... a different staff member. This was my absolute favorite place in Vallejo but they recently changed their menu and I'm so sad about it! The breakfast burrito used to come with an amazing mole sauce and now it comes with a tomatillo which was good but does not compare to before. Another reason I loved this place was the amount of vegan options they have available, they still have good options- the breakfast burrito has a vegan version with tofu instead of eggs, the black bean burger, avocado tacos, and the Korean bowl. They removed the tofu sandwich, the teriyaki bowl, and the Buddha bowl. I hope to they bring all of these back, they were so good! I also wish they served breakfast longer especially on the weekends instead of cutting it off at 11am. The coffee and service are always great however! They have unique flavors like cardamom and ube. They can get pretty busy but are always friendly and accommodating. Still one of my go to spots though for sure! read more

Provisions could be good and just isn't. Dropping in for brunch we found it difficult to be seated. When we finally got a table the service was extremely slow and not overly friendly, but we went ahead and ordered. Drinks wise, our Tart and Frisky was bad, tasting like kombucha drenched with lemon or pickle juice and our latte was basic with almost no flavor to it. Food wise, everything was mediocre and extremely expensive for the simple items we ordered. The fruit cup was served in a condiment cup. I've never been served something so small as a purchased side. The avocado toast was soaked in oil and unpleasant, and the brussels spouts? The menu didn't list it was mixed with peppers which I'm allergic to, so it went mostly untouched. We usually go to a cafe down the street so we'll definitely be sticking with them the next time we're in town. read more
