The range of goods comprises also rolls and brezels, with seeds or without, and wonderful cakes -- mind you: yeast and nut cakes rather than fancy cream cakes, tarts and tartlets. How anyone can work here and not grow enormously fat (yet happy) is beyond me! What makes this bakery stand out, though, is the friendly way of baker Karl-Heinz Carra and his wife Usch, always trying to give the best service, whether it is here in the heart of this "baking empire" or in one of the branches in the area, in the cart that sells in different villages that don't have a bakery of their own anymore, or when catering for a party or an event.

This castle ruin has been visited by locals and tourists alike for decades. We hadn't visited in…read morequite a few years and stopped by to see if restoration had continued. We visited on a Monday, during the Christmas holidays, so definitely closed. It does look however as if concerts or maybe plays are held here. From the outside we can see stadium seating and the top of a tent that may cover a stage. Definitely check the website for opening dates and times. The views from here are extensive and there are several trails that crisscross the area for both bikes and hikers. There are signs by the castle with instruction on walking with trekking poles and which paths are for bikes. Definitely check those out. A few seating areas overlook the view. A lovely little restaurant has opened behind the castle with outdoor seating during good weather and a cozy, fun interior with good food and service. Staff speak English. Plan to stop by, and call ahead to make a reservation as they fill up! There is some parking by the castle, and some by a hotel down the hill. You can also park at the bottom and hike or bike up. It's a nice little outing for those who enjoy nature.

There's an atm located at the sidewalk for the parking lot. This is an atm and not a parking ticket booth. Parking is free! Yay! As you enter, there is a corridor and then the lobby through the second set of entrance doors, and to the left once you enter the lobby is the counter labeled "tickets" (look up for the signs), and then there's also beverages and snack concessions next to the ticket cashier as well. For two adults during the day it was €20. I thought that was kinda pricey. But movies are kinda a luxury so it's all good. Beer and wine are sold here - all German brand which to me is even better than offering bud light. They do not unlock the entrance doors until a few minutes prior to show time. Which explains the circular lobby seating as you enter. It's like everyone's in the fish bowl waiting. Cause they are! In the theater, the seats are comfortable with cup holders but they're not well tiered so I thoughtfully sat off to the the side even though the seating is assigned because I had a high bun that day which would've ruin the view for the ladies behind me! It was my first time there so next time I will choose a less obnoxious and lazy hair style. There is an area for greeting cards, an area for magazines, another for little souveniers/toys relating to books. German school kids can also get their supplies here.
