Day Opportunities for people with learning disabilities. Friendly people, sadly the place and much of the equipment is very old and basic.

We have only sent our son here for holiday sessions. However my experience here has been excellent…read more Our son had huge fun on the organised trips and everything was extremely well organised. The staff are superb. Many have been working there for ages. You basically pay for what you need so if you need 7:30 - 18:00 including supper or only 9am - 3pm it's your choice. There are many options so you need to contact them to find out more. Only downside is you have to take your own packed lunch but this is no big deal considering the advantages, Only wish it was closer to me so we could send our 6 month year old there when he is old enough!

Great pre-school serving most of Newbury. Pupils from all backgrounds, and lots of extra-curricular…read moreactivities. Not affiliated to any primary schools and the site also hosts a special needs pre-school and a Surestart centre. Parking is a nightmare as it's actually built at the edge of the town's main park, so can't give 5 stars

This has to easily be the best preschool around. The staff are not only extremely caring and loving…read moretowards the children, but they are all knowledgeable about child development and taking courses. They have a small outdoor area with a slide and lots of ride on toys for the children, as well as areas for doing gardening and teaching the children. The inside has a quiet room, a messy area for cooking or doing arts and crafts and another area for general play and learning and roleplay is encouraged. I can't praise this preschool highly enough.

Excellent nursery. My eldest has been going there for over two years and the youngest for a year…read moreand love it. It compares very favourably when talking to other parents in both staff stick-around-ability, facilities and activities. have added French classes and Stretchability to the program last year which is a nice change for them. Staff very friendly and the parents' open day is very well attended. Not the cheapest in town but I would recommend this nursery to anyone in Farnham
This is an ever expanding primary school on a housing development in Fleet. It is currently…read moreundergoing a huge extension that is due to be finished in April 09, but is currently just a metal frame! In the infant part of the school there are three classes to each year group (Year R - 2) and in Juniors there are just 2 classes per year group, although the extension is being built to accommodate more. The school is around five years old and very modern and well equipped with interactive white boards in every classroom (why are schools so proud of these!) and an IT room with a computer for each child. There is a large, well stocked library just inside the main entrance with a huge flat screen TV on the wall showing photos and short films of school trips and holidays. There are Art, Cookery and Music rooms, as well as tables and chairs outside the classrooms for small group work. There is a full range of afterschool and lunchtime clubs available for children, at various prices. There really is something for everyone but they are heavily subscribed so children are often disappointed. The school is very attractive, and nicely landscaped and the children have a playing field, two playgrounds and a courtyard to the front of the school. Most classes have a class pet or two -mostly rabbits and guinea pigs, and the children take it in turns to bring them home for the weekend or holidays. I am not going to comment on the standards of education, as I am only a parent and only have my own children to compare but the school has received good OFSTED reports.
I can't recommend Westfields Preschool enough! My son was so happy here and found the transition…read morefrom preschool to infant school very easy. He was well prepared and made some great friends here that he is still friends with now. My daughter is now attending the preschool and is thriving. She has settled in so quickly and is happy to be dropped off. The staff are amazing and are all very friendly and approachable. They really care for the children and build wonderful relationships. The facilities are fantastic at the preschool- my children love to be outside and both benefitted from the amazing garden on offer which has just been newly refurbished. Also, I love that when I walk in, I don't see the same old toys everyday- there is a rotation and lovely 'home' corners, book corners and drawing/craft tables. There really is something for every child.
My grandaughter has been going to the playgroup for several months she enjoys the play and story…read moretime and comes home and tells us about the story everyday. She is a very forward 3 1/2 year old the only diisapointmnet that i can see is that she is not being prepared for her move to junior school her mind needs more stimulation not just playing all day we were told that she would be taught from the start to deal with the curriculem needed to start school and so far we have not seen any improvement in her writing reading or numbers which for such an intellegent child is very fustrating. If we wanted her to just play then we would have taken her to play group i know when my children went to pre school with in a month they were writing there names and drawing shapes and they started at 2 1/2. so please westfields stand by your word and assess these children individually not as a hole not all 3 year olds want to just play

Your experienced staff, we cannot speak highly enough of and they are your greatest asset, they have really cared about our daughter's development. It has been great reading about K's progress and being kept up-to-date about K's daily activities...by her Key Person CP. We would recommend St Francis to anyone looking for pre-school childcare, we can't imagine there is a friendlier pre-school in the area!!! Thank you so much
Wayside Early Years is a pre-school setting attached, although not part of, Beaufort school…read more The setting prefers free-play to structured teaching but each child will have a weekly target which will be worked on by the staff through that free play. There are two classes, the first Sunshine from 2 1/2 to about 3 1/2. The children then progress to Rainbow where the time is a little more structured. There is a craft area shared bewteen the two classes for messy play. This area also doubles as a cafe area for snack time. Children are encouraged to be as self-sufficient as possible although staff are always alert to their needs. Outdoor play in encouraged and children will spend 30 mins outside in all weathers save for the extreme when there is danger. The environment is warm and welcoming and the OFSTED reports speak highly of the setting. Sessions run in either the morning or afternoon. There is no lunch provision. Special needs are catered for.
