Choosing Holding Hands over other facilities is the best decision I have made. Everything is clean ( including their restrooms) Toys are sanitized and well organized. Everyone is friendly and warm. One more thing I love about this facility is that they LISTEN. It is very important to me that people will listen to my concerns, and even if I dont say it, they will give suggestions and inform me of what I need to know, they are able to adjust to and accomodate my requests to meet the needs of my daughter and they were able to resolve issues professionally in a timely manner. Our BCBA Michelle and Janise are very smart, competent and knowledgeable, my daughter's therapist, Angela, is very professional, efficient and dedicated to her work. All of them have been very supportive, understanding and patient, I cant thank them enough for everything they have done. My daughter is hyperactive and runs away from me, she refused to hold my hand or sit still when needed, thats why its hard for me to take her out in public places by myself, its always been a struggle, but she has changed so much just a few weeks of her session, I will never forget the day I was able to take my daughter with me as I run errands, she walked next to me holding my hand. We were able to overcome elopement challenges because of their help. I have learned so much from them and appreciate everyone in this facility.

Summer of 2023. Our daughter was treated there for 3 weeks with incompetence of leadership. NOT…read morerecommended. Our first and second days there were a series of baits-and-switches. The website was misleading re IOP hours. The posted schedule is misleading re "Educational Group" - just time for homework but this was summer so, coloring - and "CBT Group" - no Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and no Group Therapy - more coloring. TINY individual rooms where children are left by themselves for 4.5 combined hours of the day. The above group sessions and two 15-minute sessions with a "behavioral specialist" are the only interruptions of isolation. And our child was admitted with OCD and Selective Mutism, expected to come out of the room on her own, to socialize with no one out there. I'm fuming and this was a year ago. Alarmed, on the second day, we began reaching out to our other treatment option to request our evaluation spot back. Her B.S. was changed three times during the first 2 weeks without explanation, leaving no time to establish rapport. She liked them all though. No explanation was given. After two weeks, we were invited to a regularly scheduled "Treatment Team" meeting. With: * the psychiatrist, whom my wife had met once and who met the patient for 10-15 minutes once instead of weekly as the literature says, before suggesting Prozac, and was a no-show at 2 subsequent, regularly scheduled meetings; * the "lead therapist" whom neither we nor our daughter had EVER met; * our primary contact, the associate therapist; * the psychologist via zoom, whom we had never met but who might have met our daughter in the hallway while she was coloring, according to our daughter after the fact. They told us she wasn't making progress. We asked why she was alone in a room so much. The psychiatrist said they "couldn't employ a bunch more people." The lead therapist started to explain the daily schedule. I showed her the chart of the daily schedule we'd been given, along with a copy I highlighted with all of the above changes to show what was ACTUALLY going on, apparently contrary to what the psychiatrist, lead therapist, and psychologist had previously believed it to be. Only the psychologist was appropriately alarmed and said that she would be amending emails and addressing issues regarding the Groups. They attempted to concede to allow a parent in the room with our daughter for 30 minutes/per Individual Time to help facilitate her exposures. But the lead therapist asked the associate whether our daughter would be receptive to a parent joining her in there. He said she would not be very receptive. Before he was able to explain, which he later did, that she would be hesitant because she didn't want to do exposures, the lead therapist, Katharine, suggested that they use my entering her room AS A THREAT to her if she didn't do exposures on her own. "If you don't do your exposures, your dad will come in here." If I was this kind of scary threat in my daughter's life, this therapist suggested to use it in treatment. Keep in mind, she hadn't met ANY of us until that moment, including our daughter, her patient. Of course, I objected to this, the associate clarified himself about this and a prior misunderstanding with my wife, and they conceded. They should remove the Selective Mutism tab from their website. If you're looking for SM help, refer to Dr. Stephen Kurtz and seek his approved sources in L.A. Rogers LA relies on data they pass around, collected from check-in/check-out forms and accounts from the absolute smallest fraction of the day by the absolute least experienced people in the building. That's all they had. The "treatment team" didn't know her; they'd barely made her acquaintance. One of them never met her at all. I would like to think, had they spoken significantly to her, or even us, they would have changed course. It's not like the patient wasn't available. She was sitting in that little room by herself, practically all day, for nearly three weeks we wish we had back.

I've been coming here for a couple years now and when the ORIGINAL receptionist (yedi) left so did the CARE for people in the front. I had an appointment on at 1130a and started looking around seeing everyone AFTER me get called BEFORE me. Once I walked up I see my name is crossed off along with another person seeing the same doctors who came AFTER me I informed the lady I had an appointment and came before them. She then stated "they're getting blood work and you're next" as if My appointment had no standings. WHATS THE POINT OF AN APPOINTMENT!! These Ladies up front are ALL OVER THE PLACE and not just this time EACH AND EVERY TIME I COME. If it weren't for Christine I'd go elsewhe

I have been brining my children here for 4 years now & I'm finally going to change their pediatrician because of their lack of care . I brought my son today for a physical and asked to them to sign a document for his school & im being told to come back in 3 days because ALL of the receptionists are busy to fill out a ONE page document that summarizes the physical that I set an appointment for over 6 months ago. This is ridiculous. I explained the urgency of the document being signed & im still being being told id have to wait who knows how many hours . This is out of hand . Do not recommend. There's other better pediatricians who have much more better communication and assistance .
