The project was delayed multiple times, measurements were done wrong, and the rock area was left unleveled. What made the experience worse was the communication throughout the process. When an issue came up regarding the color of the pavers that was recommended by our sales representative, he was unwilling to take accountability or work with us toward a reasonable solution. After pointing out all the issues, he told us he would contact his manager to see if they could provide a discount since the incorrect color of pavers had already been delivered and partially installed. After days of back-and-forth, he later informed us that they would not be pursuing that option after all. The inconsistency and lack of follow-through were very disappointing. James the sales agent became increasingly hostile and unprofessional. Instead of feeling like our concerns were being heard and addressed, we felt blamed for issues that should have been handled collaboratively. To their credit, the installation crew worked hard and completed much of the physical labor well. However their customer service and accountability was horrible. Service-communication: very good. My main contact was James. Took a lot of time with us. We were going from scratch, so it took a while for us to figure out what we wanted. Plus, had to get HOA approval for a pergola - never fun, but finally got through that. Second contact was Ali toward the end with the irrigation and plants. Easy to deal with. Once the contract was signed, they indicated 2-3 weeks to begin, and that was accurate. Supply delivery began about five days prior to commencing work. The initial crew wasted no time getting to work. They kept the premises clean. Everyone professional. Quality: All I can say, is so far so good! Nice paver work, Pergola looks great. Electrical all appears properly done. Turf looks great. We are very happy with the results. Everyone cleaned up after themselves. Delays: none of any consequence. I am happy to update the review and highly recommend Turf Time for its quality products, crews, installation and final result. We have already recommended them to friends and neighbors who saw the completed project and were just as impressed as I. **************************************************** The installation and result of the project is beautiful and I am thrilled with the outcome. Once installation on a Friday was completed is where it started to fall apart. We were told the excess piles of rock and debris would be removed the next business day (Monday). The project supervisor confirmed on Sunday the arrival of his crew to complete the removal. Unfortunately, Monday came and went with a no call / no show. On Tuesday around noon, we reached out to the project supervisor to ask when the material would be removed. He replied that he had someone coming today to get it all picked up. Hours later, a single worker with only a shovel, wheelbarrow and mesh trailer arrived. He was obviously misinformed about the scope of the job and became visibly upset: Taking pictures and calling someone who got the brunt of what he was sent to do. He picked up a few trash items, threw those into his trailer, told us he'd be back at 7:30am the next day and drove away. On Wednesday late morning, we contacted the Turf Time office to inquire about the status of the material pick up and were advised they would reach out to the project supervisor. Just before 1:00pm, the project supervisor reached out to us and informed us that his "crew couldn't get everything yesterday, so they are coming in the next hour or so to get the rest of it". Nearly three hours later, a crew arrived and successfully removed the material over the next two hours. Attempting to use the payment link texted by Turf Time was unsuccessful through multiple attempts on a mobile device. I attempted to utilize Zelle payments services and the Zelle name that appeared under the email address didn't match any of the company names listed on the Turf Time website or under the Register of Contractors website. I reached out to The Turf Time office and informed them of the discrepancy, they advised the Zelle name was correct because it was set up using the owner's initials (not the company name). When attempting to make full payment to Turf Time, the Zelle system informed me that, because this was a new relationship, the maximum allowable per transaction is $500. I went back to the link Turf Time texted and used it on a laptop. This time, I was able to go through the process far enough for the invoice to show "Payment Processing". I crossed my fingers and hoped that the payment would successfully process. The next day, I confirmed via my bank that the payment did go through to Turf Time even though, to this writing, I've not received a payment notification from Turf Time. In summary, the installation workers were amazing, and the result was exactly what I wanted. After that, everything was a series of unfulfilled assurances and technological overcomplication.

We just wanted rocks and pavers. Low maintence for a back yard. In the front they did a pathway for our trash cans to roll over and be taken out front. I do think giving 4 stars is fair here because their communication is really frustrating and we did have minor issues along the way. We had 3 plants in the front yard that got dug up to place the trash pathway down. I asked the install site manager right away if they could replant them so that they wouldn't die. I know lots of landscapers will say they can't guarantee a plant will survive if they move them. For our plants they just got dug up and even after the request to replant them they didn't. So since the 3 plants died due to just not being tended to I asked if they could get us 3 new plants since the previous ones were just left to die. They replaced them and that was great but frustrating. I also wanted two water zones in our back yard. One to water citrus trees and another to water privacy plants and raised beds in the future. I had explained this to the designer a month or so before the install. After the work was done, I found out that that was not included on the invoice when it just said "irrigation". But my fault for assuming that was included without double checking. Since it was an additional task after the work was done in the back I asked if this could be added on as that was one of our must have items. This past week I've tried giving the site manager a call. On Monday this week, I was told the guys could come out Tuesday or Wensday. Wensday, I called and didn't hear back at all. Thursday comes and I get a text saying they are working on a job but I'd get a text when they'd be heading by. Thursday and Friday goes by and no communication. They do great work but I think I know what the underlying issue is. We live in a new area and homes are brand new just like ours so as a company I can see how that can be very lucrative. I get it, you want your business to do well. But Turf Time then over promises because they are so busy juggling all these jobs in the area. We were initially quoted 3 days to complete the job. It ended up taking 5. Which I tried to be chill about and not complain because it's summer 100+ degrees. I even made sure to have water and gatorades out for the guys. One of the days they got here around 8 or so and were gone before noon. When I asked are they coming back because I thought it was just a lunch break. I was told they had packed up and went to another job. So again, they are so busy with all of these requests to do backyards that you start to drop the ball. I was nervous about how quick things would be done before they even started the work because our neighbors across from us used Turf Time as well and they just left bricks outside their home for at least a week and picked it up after wrapping our job. So I think they are just getting all these requests in but drop the ball when it comes to customer service or just baseline communication. As for the backyard zones they just did not want to provide that to us after asking and following up a couple times. I started asking for the valve at the end of June when they wrapped and it's now 7/17. I tried but to no avail. Again, while the work is good I don't know if we'd use them again. I have to take caution when companies do this to customers that have been good to them. I tried to look out for the guys and have drinks ready with a fridge outside, the invoice was paid in full on time....and yet this was still the outcome. I'll be getting the zones done elsewhere but wanted to leave an honest review.
