Me & my roommate were interns at NASA and I guess they used that to take advantage of us. We ended up switching apartments during our lease because it takes them forever to contact you back and get anything done. They advertised the first apartment as a 2 bedroom when it was really a 1.5. They used a den as a bedroom and tried to lease it, so basically I was sleeping in the living room. The room was closed off by blinds and blinds were missing so I had no privacy! The room led into the living room which had two windows facing the street and the blinds in the living room were missing too so basically anyone from outside the apartment could stand at the window and look right through the apartment (Vista- the one right next to the office). You could also wiggle the front window and get right in. I called maintenance and they came, with nastyyyyy attitudes, and put a stick there so it would stop the window from opening up. It didn't help but they didn't want to help any further. The apartment was also so dirty! The bathroom was dirty upon moving in. We had to replace the shower curtain. The tub was brown and everything! We couldn't even sit in the living room because the green fabric couch was BLACK! Then we move into the second apartment (La Cita) and oh my God it was the worst thing I've ever experienced in my life. Okay La Cita was nice on the outside although we never received a key for the pool and they never had one but if you're black DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT MOVE HERE! TIMES AND THE ROACHES WERE STILL THERE! The roaches were dead in the fridge, freezer (I think the apt hadn't been used for a while prior to us moving in because I don't know how the other people didn't notice it if so, unless they're used to roaches). The roaches were literally all over the house, in the shower curtain, in the shower, in the bedrooms on the head boards, in the closets, literally everywhere. So we move out and we receive our security deposit. We payed $500 and got back $100. The remainder of the balance went to cleaning. We were charged for laundry although we never used their nasty comforters, towels, or anything. We were charged for using kitchen appliances that we never used (who knew we had to clean stuff we didn't use or we'd be charged for it? WOW). We were charged for not vacuuming out the sofa that we never ever sat on (it was literally black). We cleaned before we moved out but we didn't think we had to scrub the baseboards and vacuum out the couch in order to get our deposit back. So the next apartment we made sure everything was spotless before leaving and cleaned everything, even shampooed the carpets (we were only there for a month and a half!)! We still was charged for cleaning like cleaning the counters (which i scrubbed before i left), doing laundry that we never used because who would want to use towels and sheets from an apartment nasty like that? I brought my own stuff from home. There were so many things wrong with these apartments and people! These people are really unbelievable and when I tried to talk to Daniel Treder about it he told me "I'm not going to argue with you." Cool whatever we'll take that lost but the $400 you took from us is going to hurt you more than us! I'm only really upset because I broke my phone a week after we left and lost all my pictures so I can't show you all.
