I have owned homes before, but I've never had one built from the ground up. I really didn't know…read morehow to go out this process but a close friend of mine was doing the exact same thing. Fortunately for me, she had already done all the research and looking for a designer and she had recommended Adam. I made an appointment for a consultation with Adam and immediately I had a good feeling working with him. He is extremely personable and professional. As I had never done this before, he spoke to me in a way that could understand everything and he always answered any questions I had. He explained the process and we had regular meetings once he got started. It was really amazing how he was able to take what I only imagined in my head and put it down on paper so I could actually visualize it. Even after he had submitted rough drafts to me, I could come back to him and make changes that he would quickly adopt into the new plans. When I had specific needs, he put them into the new design and it always came out better than what I had anticipated. There were times even after what I thought were the final drawings when I would come up with additional changes I hadn't previously thought of and Adam never complained. He always took my changes and incorporated them into a new drawing. And no detail was too small for Adam. Another time when all the drawings had been approved, we decided to make the window frames black and like all other times, Adam quickly made the changes without any complaints. The work was timely; I don't remember how long the entire process took, but it wasn't long at all. He provided me with a 3D mock-up for me to view both the inside and outside. Adam was so accommodating, I felt like he was designing it for one of his own family members, that's how much time and effort he put into it. If you use Adam, you are going to get nothing but top quality work and for an extremely reasonable price. At some point, I'll build an addition to this home and without question, I will come back to Adam. If you are looking for someone to design your dream house, look no further than Distinctive Drafting & Design and ask to meet with Adam.
